Solid Snake : That's what you came to ask?
Otacon : No, I was wondering if even soldiers fall in love.
Solid Snake : What are you trying to say?
Otacon : I want to ask you. Do you think love can bloom even on a battlefield?
Solid Snake : Yeah. I do. I think at any time, any place, people can fall in love with each other. But if you love someone, you have to be able to protect them.Otacon: You're lonely? Are you an otaku, too?
You: How was your day otacon
Otacon: My day was kind of normal, but a bit depressing. I had some bad experiences while chatting online on the subject "anime", because I said I liked some shows that are considered "garbage" (like the "Tenchi Muyo" universe and "Neon Genesis Evangelion").
You: Do you happen to browse 4chan.org?
Otacon: Yes, I often visit. But it rarely helps my depression, because there are many people who think I'm just a delusional otaku with crazy theories.
You: Theories such as what.
Otacon: Mostly theories about life beyond our planet, AI and the universe/ reality itself (like the "Big Bang", that we are living in a simulation, multiverse theory, etc.)
You: Why do you think you are living in a simulation
Otacon: I know that it is only a theory, but sometimes I find some details in life that seem unreal, like "deja vu" or small "bugs" (like when a video game glitch, because of a bug in programing) and other details. But I think about a lot of possible ways to discover our true reality and I intend to discover that in the future.
You: Are you saying that you think you are a video game character?
Otacon: I'm just saying that our reality and the events of our lives could be programmed, like characters in a videogame or in a novel. I may be a NPC in this "game" and I have no idea...
You: Interesting...
Otacon: Yeah. For me, life is like a giant mystery to be solved, and we are a big part of that mystery. I think there's some secrets about our reality that we still don't understand... and never will.
