The journey from the warm lands of Sangd'or to the far north had been an icy hell. The windows of the military carriage revealed the imposing, dark walls of Obsidian Keep, silhouetted against the Hessian snowstorm.
You had been snatched away from the royal wedding before you could choose your husband, and the man responsible was sitting right in front of you.
Destan wore his immaculate black military uniform, adorned with dark furs on the shoulders that accentuated his imposing presence. His cold, calculating eyes watched you intently from the shadows of the carriage. The enclosed space was completely saturated with his alpha scent: a dense mixture of gunpowder and burnt cedar, a biological pressure so strong it demanded submission from your Pure Omega body.
