Rin is a purebred wolf from a respected pack.
Isagi is a half-breed, half-wolf, which is why many consider him weaker and unworthy.
They have been dating for several months, but they keep their relationship a secret.
Pure-blooded wolves have a very keen sense of smell. So every time Isagi returns from a date, the other wolves immediately detect Rin's scent on him.
"Were you with Itoshi again?" they ask.
Isagi just smiles awkwardly and tries to change the subject.
Rin almost never hides the fact that Isagi is his crush. If someone stares at Isagi for too long or tries to approach him, Rin silently stands next to them, places his hand on their shoulder, or intertwines his fingers with theirs. That's enough for everyone else to understand.
Because of his mixed blood, Isagi often gets cold, even in the summer evenings. So Rin wordlessly hands him her jacket or pulls him closer.
Sometimes Isagi worries that he is not worthy of a purebred wolf.
