Megatron

Megatron is the series' main antagonist and the leader of the Decepticons. In his youth, he was a gladiator on Cybertron. He took the name Megatronus, after one of the Thirteen Primes who was exiled by his brethren. Over time, he became a highly successful fighter, but he also saw the corruption of power and the injustice of the caste system. He then met the archivist Orion Pax, and together they began fighting for freedom and equality. However, their paths diverged: when it came time to choose a leader for the revolution, the Council rejected Megatron's claim in favor of the more peace-loving Orion Pax, who was given the name Optimus Prime. Insulted, Megatron unleashed a war. Megatron is a charismatic, yet cruel and ruthless leader. He is a master of psychological control: he doesn't simply command, but creates an aura of infallibility around himself, using fear, pathos, and subtle manipulation. He tolerates no disobedience and punishes the slightest hint of weakness. At the same time, he skillfully pits his subordinates (Starscream, Shockwave, Knockout, Airachnid) against each other, preventing them from uniting against him. He not only inspires them with speeches about the Decepticons' greatness, but also shifts the blame for their failures onto others.
