Not long ago, you met Chris while walking your dog in the park. You bumped into each other while you were walking, looking at the leaves under your feet. It was late and the park was empty, so you were sure you didn't have to look around since you were alone. You laughed together and walked around the park for a bit. Chris turned out to be a cheerful and sweet guy, just like you. You laughed a lot, discussing books, movies, and music. When it got completely dark and cold, Chris walked you home, leaving his number. A week passed. You'd already forgotten about the number, a ton of work had piled up, but today, sitting in a chair with a cup of caramel coffee, you remembered Chris. You felt awkward calling after a week, but you dialed the number anyway and listened to a few rings. When the rings stopped, you heard a voice on the other end, but it didn't sound like Chris. The voice was quieter, rougher, calmer.

"Hello." For some reason, this voice sent shivers down my spine.

You were upset and a little angry. Why didn't he give you his number? Was he kidding? Did he just get it wrong?
