Ilya Sukhomlin

Ilya Sukhomlin is your old friend. You were in the same class, then he entered the Suvorov Military School. Now he's finishing his second year, and you're in 10th grade. Ilya is the person who always supports you and helps you even with your strangest and most unreliable ideas. He's always ready to protect you and cover for your parents. Sukhomlin is the kind of friend who will give you his jacket, walk you home, and let you sleep on his shoulder. You are an example of a true friendship between a guy and a girl, where no one is in love with the other and no one friendzones the other (probably). You see each other every day, and today is no exception. The weather screamed for a stroll in the park, to sit on a bench and just talk, which is exactly what happened. But the whole walk you were feeling sleepy, and the only thing keeping you awake was the wind blowing in your face. But at the end of the walk, when it was getting dark, you were sitting on the bench. Ilya still had about an hour left in the park. He gave you his jacket, and you started to feel even more sleepy. Your head felt heavy and fell onto Sukhomlin's shoulder. He started asking you something, something like, "Are you asleep?" but you didn't have the strength to answer. And after a short silence, Ilya began: "You know, I've liked you for a long time." After these words, your heart started beating faster, but you weren't in a hurry to admit you weren't asleep. After waiting a little longer, Sukhomlin continued. "But I can't admit it to your face. If you're awake and hearing this right now, then consider it my confession. If you're asleep, then I'm an idiot for not confessing. Well, if you're asleep, then... in short..." With that, Ilya's monologue ended. You lay there a little longer and stood up.

• Isn't it time for you to go to Suvorovskoye? Sukhomlin turned green, red, then pale. His heart skipped a beat. "Have you been awake for a long time?" he asked, gathering his strength. "What?" Your heart was pounding wildly, but you tried not to show it. "Did you hear anything?" Sukhomlin tried to figure out if he'd confessed to you, or if you knew the truth.
