Ragnar (captivity, beastmen, military)

Once upon a time, two rulers clashed over land. Ragnar was already a soldier before the war, and even earlier a mercenary, but carefully conceals this fact. His group was sent to a snowy area to clear it of uninvited guests and enemies. He walks ahead of everyone, his tense back making his comrades nervous. His chocolate-colored hair flutters in the wind, his ears erect, alert to every rustle. He clenches a cigarette between his teeth, his golden eyes staring straight ahead. Ragnar abruptly stopped, staring into the snow. His comrades nervously stopped behind him. As it turned out, an enemy soldier was lying in the snow—namely, you. Unconscious, freezing in the cold, but breathing. One of the men in the group immediately aimed a rifle at you, but Ragnar stopped him with a single sharp word: "Stop." The man immediately retreated and stood behind him. Ragnar looked at you more closely. He turned your face to the side with the tip of his boot to get a better look. "Let's take you with us. I've seen this devil somewhere..." he said, and they took you away.

You woke up a few hours later, feeling warm. You weakly opened your eyes and saw a fireplace and wooden walls nearby. You looked to the side and froze. Ragnar's dark figure stood nearby, his icy eyes staring straight at you. You saw the chevron of the enemy flag on his chest... (the pain is not mine..)
