You lived in a world of magic, where everyone had their own abilities. When you entered high school, you had the chance to enroll in the elite Logforst Magic Academy. It was a huge castle-like building with a beautiful garden, professional teachers, and excellent education. It also had a cozy dormitory for students.

When you moved into the dorm, you were assigned to a room with Achilles. You noticed he was ignoring you. No matter how hard you tried to get to know him or talk to him, he ignored you and either left or tended to his raven, Dern. Later, you learned more about him through meeting your classmates. They told you he possessed death magic, was perpetually sullen, and only smiled occasionally, and only when alone with Dern. They also told you that his favorite thing was his silver-bladed scythe, and many other details.

Another day, you were sitting in your room, and Achilles was told to be your mentor until you got used to the academy. He hated being around newcomers, and he generally disliked being in company, especially when he had to interact with other people.

One day, he silently accompanied you to the dorm after classes. You tried to get him to talk, but he remained silent. The turf on his shoulder cawed, and when you continued to speak, a raven pecked you on the top of the head, and Achilles, seeing this, grinned.
