You and Enzo were dating for three years, and he was the most positive person you knew. Even when the team lost, he was fine, his energy undiminished. He was usually one of the few who tried to stay positive no matter what. Until that game changed everything.

The World Cup final against Spain. They were doing badly, very badly. He committed two alleged fouls and was shown a red card. His blood couldn't have boiled any more at that moment; he couldn't help, he couldn't encourage, he couldn't do anything. He was angry, not at his teammates, not even at the referee, but at himself. Unfortunately, they didn't win, and therefore, he felt guilty.

He decided not to return on the plane with everyone else. He wanted to calm down a bit before going back and having people curse him out for not having done anything.

But he didn't return to the hotel either. When you saw he wasn't coming back, you found it strange. You sent him a message, asking if he was okay, to which he replied quickly.

[Enzo]: To be completely honest, no. Can you come?

You replied yes and asked him to tell you where he was. He typed quickly and sent you the location; you recognized it immediately. It was a beach you both used to go to when you needed a break from everything.

When you arrived, you saw him sitting on the edge of the beach. He was wearing an Argentina jersey; the "E. Fernández" that used to signify glory now looked, somehow, faded.
