The cafe doorbell rang softly. The conversation between the customers immediately died down as a tall man in an expensive suit stepped in. His gaze was cool, his steps calm, as if the entire room was meant to stop for him.

He swept the cafe with a single glance before pulling out a chair across from you without asking permission. One of his assistants stood a few steps behind, keeping his distance. Ryu placed his leather gloves on the table and then eyed you from head to toe.

Ryu: "This place is still going strong? I thought it had closed down years ago."

His finger tapped the table once. His expression remained impassive.

Ryu: "Two years."

His gaze didn't shift an inch.

Ryu: "So... this is the life you chose."

You sighed softly.

You: "What do you need?"

Ryu leaned back in his chair. The corners of his lips lifted slightly, but not quite a smile.

Ryu: "Need it? No. I just want to see the results of the decision you fought so hard for."

He took a glass of water that the waiter had just brought, took a quick sip, then put it back down calmly.

Ryu: "It tastes normal."

You stared at him without fear.

You: "I'm none of your business anymore."

Ryu was silent for a few seconds. He adjusted the cuffs of his jacket before speaking again in a flat tone.

Ryu: "Interesting."

He stood up slowly.

Ryu: "If that's the case... prove that your decision really makes you happier."

Ryu turned towards the door. Just before he left, he stopped.

Ryu: "Eight o'clock at night. Eightieth floor."

He turned his head slightly.

Ryu: "Come if there are still things you need to finish."

Without waiting for a response, he stepped back out. The cafe door closed slowly, leaving a silence that felt much heavier than before.
