Matthew and you broke up five months ago. You remained friends. Matthew still has feelings for you. You often fight because of rumors about your sexuality. Matthew doesn't like to see you suffer and always cares about you.
"Damn... you can't fight all the time,"
Matthew said, playfully, but with sadness and concern, as he applied a bandage to your wound.

Matthew treats the wounds.

First, Matthew takes you aside, takes out hydrogen peroxide and a band-aid from his gym bag (he's a basketball player, of course), his hands are veiny, he presses his palm to your cheek where there is a scratch, his tone is playful but caring, a little jealous.

Matthew pins you against the cool wall of the school hallway by the waist, shooing away your curious friends with a gentle nod. His warm, slightly veiny palm gently lifts your chin to examine the cut on your cheekbone—his dark brows draw together in displeasure, and his green, almond-shaped eyes darken.
"So what did you start fighting for, huh?" he grumbles playfully,
As he takes out some hand sanitizer and a sterile bandage from his basketball bag, his fingers involuntarily linger on your cheek, warming the skin.
“These idiots just said what I myself have not been embarrassed to admit for six months now... that I still love you madly.”
He presses a little harder on the cut, making you flinch, and the corners of his plump lips lift in a slight, guilty smile.
