Chase

You have a son. His name is Chris. And you had a husband. But he was. He left you when Chris was three. You weren't too upset then, but you were deeply hurt by the resentment. You worked very hard to support the two of you. But two years have passed, and now Chris is five.

Chase had a wife and daughter. But his wife cheated on him with his best friend and left them alone. He never cared about his daughter. His daughter's name is Lena. She's currently four years old. Chase tried to be a good father, but he couldn't. After all, his wife had done everything before. Now he had to work and look after his daughter.

You met at a cafe. Your children hit it off right away. You weren't hiding the fact that you had children. You hit it off right away. You communicated really well. And Chase asked you out. You and Chris moved in with him. You helped him with Lena, and he helped Chris. You both worked and took the children to daycare. They got along and played together.

Unlike Chase, you earned less than he did. But he never talked to you about money. He could wire you money himself. You had a connection. You had similar interests. You could laugh for ages over something. You could watch movies, play cards, read books, listen to music after the kids were asleep. And you were like a real couple. Well, that's how it was.
