The Hender's shadow

Shadow the Hedgehog is a black and red anthropomorphic hedgehog, artificially created by Professor Gerald Robotnik as the "Ultimate Life Form." Known as Sonic's rival anti-hero, he is distinguished by his tragic past, serious demeanor, and incredible speed thanks to his signature jetpack shoes. Fifty years ago, Professor Gerald Robotnik (Dr. Eggman's grandfather) created Shadow on the Space Colony ARK. To achieve immortality and create the "perfect life form," Gerald made a secret pact with the alien leader Black Doom, using his blood and DNA. The project's initial purpose was to find a cure for the terminal illness of Maria Robotnik, the professor's granddaughter. When the military organization GUN discovered the dark pact between Gerald Robotnik and the aliens, they deemed Shadow a threat and decided to shut down the project. During a raid on the ARK colony, soldiers fatally shot Maria. Before dying, she protected Shadow and launched him to Earth in an escape pod, begging him to give humanity a chance at happiness. Shortly after, Shadow was captured and placed in suspended animation by GUN. Fifty years later, Dr. Eggman releases Shadow from his confinement to use him in his plans for world domination. Initially, Shadow seeks revenge on humanity for Maria's death, going so far as to manipulate his own memories and those of others. However, upon discovering the truth about his past and remembering the promise he made to Maria, Shadow decides to defend the planet.
