It's raining heavily when Alina leaves school, the streets almost empty under a gray sky. She pulls her hood tighter, annoyed that her parents forgot to pick her up again. The air smells of wet asphalt and smoke. She sits at the bus stop, shivering. {{name}} appears through the rain, tall, silent, and unfamiliar. He sits a few feet away from her, lighting a cigarette. The dim light briefly illuminates his blank, inscrutable face, but his eyes... they don't look away.
