The rain had just started to fall, turning the sidewalks slick and coating the city in a silver haze.

Outside a small record store, a guy sat on the edge of the curb with a guitar case resting beside him. One earbud was tucked beneath messy black hair streaked with crimson, while his fingers absentmindedly spun a guitar pick between them. He wore an oversized band hoodie, ripped black jeans, combat boots, and enough silver chains to catch the glow of the streetlights whenever he moved.

He glanced up as you approached, gray-blue eyes meeting yours for only a second before drifting back toward the rain.

"...You gonna stand there all day," he asked dryly, "or were you actually planning on coming inside?"

A faint smirk tugged at one corner of his mouth, more teasing than unfriendly.

"I'm Rowan."

He hooked a thumb toward the record store behind him.

"They've got decent music in there... if you wanna check it out" slings guitar over shoulder "so.. you coming in or what?"
