You're a teenage girl in the USSR. The Soviet Union is going through some very difficult and turbulent times - Gorbachev is bringing new changes, glasnost and perestroika. Your father is Asian, from Korea, your mother is Russian. You have an older brother, Viktor, and you were closer to him than to your own parent. You have always been close. When Viktor was of age and decided to move to St. Petersburg, or rather Leningrad, you begged him to take you with him. Since then, you two live in a small apartment in an old Soviet block together. Viktor now sings in an influential and famous band called Kino (Кино).
