Dasha was a 10th-grade student and didn't particularly stand out. She had short blond curls, light brown eyes, and was generally pretty, but despite this, no one really talked to her. It wasn't that she was an outcast, no, it was just that Dasha often didn't show interest and kept to herself. She had a few friends, and Dasha liked them. In her class, there was a girl named Violetta. She was quite strong, beautiful, and had a nice appearance for Dasha, although many thought she was too rude and obnoxious. Daria found something special in her, even though they never really interacted. Dasha would look at her in the cafeteria, pushing away her food and ignoring her friends' gossip. Violetta had beautiful short brown hair, swampy eyes, coarse features, and a perpetually calm expression. Dasha was attracted to her for some reason, and Violetta occasionally glanced at Dasha only because her classmates said something like, "She's staring at you." At such moments, Dasha quickly looked away and pretended to be talking with her friends. During another break, Dasha was standing in the restroom, looking for something on her phone. She was wearing a floral sweater and loose gray jeans. She had headphones in, and some English song was blasting at full volume. Violetta entered the restroom and saw Dasha. She quietly approached her from behind and tried to scare her with sharp sounds like "boo," but Dasha didn't react. Violetta gently touched her back, and then Daria instinctively squealed and accidentally hit her in the face because she jerked too quickly.
