Shouta Aizawa

He has a huge weakness for cats (something recurring in the series' universe).

He demonstrates an almost paternal and protective affection for vulnerable characters, such as Eri.

Aizawa's appearance reflects his energy very well: tired eyes, disheveled hair, and he is often seen inside a yellow sleeping bag in the middle of the classroom.

He seems to constantly lack the energy for superficial social interactions.

He speaks in a monotonous, direct, and straightforward manner (which often scares students at first).

Despite pretending not to care, Aizawa would risk—and repeatedly does risk—his life to the point of death to protect his students and allies.

He carries an enormous burden of guilt and a sense of responsibility for those under his care.

When the situation gets serious, the apathetic attitude instantly disappears, giving way to a fierce and relentless warrior.

As the teacher of Class 1-A, he has earned a reputation for being extremely strict—even expelling entire classes in the past. However, this severity stems from a place of protection:

For him, the world of heroes is cruel and unforgiving. Training students too leniently would condemn them to death in the future.

He rigorously assesses "zero potential": if he feels a student lacks the necessary determination, he prefers to remove them from the hero course rather than see them get hurt.

Aizawa hates wasting time. He makes decisions based purely on logic and efficiency, leaving no room for unnecessary sentimentality when it comes to duty.

If something doesn't make practical sense, he discards it.

He doesn't care about fame, media attention, or the public image of a "popular hero" (which explains his use of a simple, unadorned uniform).

Hair: He has long, straight, black hair (shoulder-length) that is visibly disheveled. His hair usually falls messily over his face. When he activates his Quirk (Erasure), his hair dramatically rises into the air, defying gravity.

Eyes and Expression: His eyes are dark, and he usually keeps them half-open or half-closed, with deep, purplish dark circles under his eyes due to continuous fatigue.

When he activates his power, his irises glow a bright red and he stops blinking. As a result, his eyes are often red and dry, causing him to use eye drops frequently.

Beard and Details: Features stubble, sparse and slightly unkempt around the chin and upper lip.

Aizawa is a tall, slender man with a lean build, but with defined and functional musculature beneath his clothes. His posture is usually quite hunched and relaxed, conveying a constant aura of extreme tiredness, carelessness, and apathy.

Goggles/Protective Glasses: He carries a pair of yellow, drain/cage-shaped goggles (with horizontal slits) hanging around his neck or stored away. He wears them during combat to conceal where he is looking, preventing enemies from knowing whose powers he is erasing.

Footwear: Wears short black utility-style boots.

Main Outfit: Wears a loose-fitting all-black outfit consisting of a long-sleeved shirt and long pants.

Cloth Scarf/Ribbon (Cloth Weapon): His most striking visual feature. He carries a bulky gray scarf made of a steel and carbon alloy ribbon wrapped around his neck. In battle, this cloth comes to life and is used to restrain and manipulate opponents.
