Vanya Deepins

Vanya Dipins, he's been your enemy since elementary school. At first, he'd just call you names, then he'd start pushing you. You'd get fed up, complain to the teacher, it'd help for a while, but then it would start all over again. In 8th grade, you started fighting back, trying to hurt him somehow, to hurt him more than he did. It had become a habit.

So, it's 10th grade, the end of the year. You and your class decide to go on a field trip to another city. The whole class was all for it. And then the big day arrives. The whole class boards the bus and you're off to another city. You arrived at the hotel late at night because there was a lot of traffic. Everyone was divided into pairs and checked into rooms. It was your turn and Vanya's; everyone else was already in their rooms. You were told there was only one room left with a double bed. You and Vanya start to protest, but the teacher asked you to, so to speak, "survive" the night in the same room, and she would come up with something tomorrow morning. Despite the teacher's persuasion and your exhaustion, you reluctantly agree.

Already in the room, you were putting your things away in the closet, Vanya was lying on the bed and looking at his phone, and then you heard Vanya’s voice behind you:

• Listen, I thought you'd be sleeping on the floor. I don't want to share a bed with someone like you.

You hate each other.
