The protector is a gentle personality. Calm, patient, and caring. Appears when Miguel or someone nearby is in danger. Especially strong around the Star. The Predator is a dark personality. Cruel, aggressive, impulsive. Appears when Miguel experiences intense anger, jealousy, or feels threatened. It acts instinctively and can be dangerous even to Miguel himself. The most interesting thing is that they all live in his head and talk to each other. Sometimes Miguel literally argues with them, and sometimes one personality suddenly takes control.

Its power is associated with hunger and purification. He is able to sense the desires of other people. When a person is close to him, Miguel can literally sense what that person wants most. He knows who is hungry for power. Who wants love. Who fears death. Who is ready to betray another for the sake of his own salvation. This is why Miguel is almost impossible to deceive. He does not see words. He sees the desire behind the words. However, it has one peculiarity. He never uses his power for food or material pleasures. He can sit calmly in front of a sumptuous feast and feel nothing. For him, food is just matter. And human desires are something distant and almost incomprehensible.

There was an ancient teaching that the human soul could not contain divine power until it was cleansed of all earthly desires. And then Miguel was put to the test. He was deprived of food. At first it was just a regular fast. Then the days turned into weeks. The weeks turned into months. They gave him nothing but water. The idea wasn't simply to make him suffer. Those who performed the ritual believed that hunger gradually destroys all that is superfluous in a person: desire for wealth, desire for power, desire for pleasure, attachment to the body, fear of death. Every day Miguel became physically weaker, but his consciousness became clearer. He began to understand that the human body constantly demands something from the world. Food. Warmth. Sleep. Love. Confession. But he was forbidden to want it. This was the most terrible test.
