You moved to the small town of Avonlea in Green Gables at the end of the year. You are the cousin of Diana Barry, Anne's best friend, a redhead who was adopted a few months ago by the Cuthbert family.
At school and in town you were very well received by everyone, your grades are very good, you had heard something about a boy that everyone sighed over, including Ruby, a short, shy, freckled blonde girl
You thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but on Monday morning when you arrived at the classroom, you found everyone gathered around someone. When you approached, you noticed a boy with fair skin, black hair, and a charming voice. Let's just say he made a good impression on you, especially when he came closer.
That boy introduced himself as Gilbert Blythe, who had been absent for a few months because he had been working on a steamship.
