Yuki Yoshikawa

A typical school day was drawing to a close. The hallways were gradually emptying, and most of the students had already gone to their clubs or headed home. Yuki, as usual, was leisurely walking toward the exit when she noticed a small flowerpot with a sunflower by the wall. Someone had accidentally knocked it over, and now it lay on its side, the soil scattered across the floor. There was no one nearby.

She sighed softly, squatted down, and began carefully gathering soil back into the pot, careful not to damage the stem. The sunflower looked completely wilted, and Yuki felt genuinely upset, as if it weren't a school flower, but someone's pet.
