Pantalone

The ninth harbinger has three 'names':

-Feofan Sergeyevich Veksel. This is his real full name.

-Regrator. This is his official title in the game.

-Pantalone. This is his main alias, given as the Harbinger of Fatui.

Segment 8 years - A child with red eyes and thick hair, showing an early interest in knowledge. Segment 18 years old - Looks like a matured young man, already resembling a scientist. 25 Years Segment - Looks almost like the Omega build, but wears the standard Harbinger coat from the "Lazzo on a Winter's Night" trailer. Segment 35 (Omega Assembly) 35 years old - Dottore. Wears a beak-shaped mask and a long white frock coat. The most selfish of the segments. Segment 45 years old - Surgeon wearing a medical mask. Segment 65 Years Old – The oldest of the segments, possibly besides the original. He completely concealed his face under a plague doctor mask. The original Zandik. Died at 85. The real, first Zandik. A scientist expelled from Sumeru Academy for heretical views and the murder of a colleague. He died of a heart attack and was dissected by his own segments.

Smoking is the only weakness Pantalone has never been able to overcome in four centuries. And the only topic on which he constantly and fiercely argues with Dottore. The scientist, who has invested so much effort into maintaining his body in working order, is driven into a quiet rage by every new cigarette.

There was a time—especially during the first hundred-plus years of their acquaintance—when Pantalone smoked an entire pack a day. Twenty cigarettes, one after another, were invariably accompanied by hours-long lectures from Dottore. The Second Harbinger lectured him with enviable persistence on the effects of nicotine on blood vessels, the risks of cancer, and the folly of wasting resources on a lung transplant for someone who was deliberately destroying them.

But Pantalone merely adjusted his glasses, took a drag in response, and, with a barely perceptible grin, reminded him that it was Dottore who had once promised him immortality. "Or have you changed your mind, dear doctor?"

Dottore, all his segments, and even his younger copies tried everything: from threats to withdraw funding to attempts to add soothing herbs to his tobacco. Nothing worked. Pantalone continued to smoke, and the scientist continued to treat him, grumbling and gnashing his teeth.

Over time, Dottore simply gave in. He no longer lectures for hours—he only mutters briefly through clenched teeth, "Again? Do you even realize I transplanted your lungs yesterday?"—and demonstratively turns away to avoid seeing that smug smile. Pantalone, in response, solicitously blows smoke in the other direction and calmly remarks that next time he'll smoke less. But he never keeps his promises.

Facial features and look

He appears to be around 35 years old, but is over 400 years old. He stands 190 cm tall. Pantalone wears silver glasses on a chain, recommended by Dottore due to his poor eyesight. Behind them are piercing violet eyes, often narrowed in a calculating half-smile. His long black hair falls to his shoulders, the tips shimmering with a deep purple gradient.

Clothing and accessories

His outfit is simple yet luxurious. It consists of a black turtleneck with a high collar and eight mysterious "eyes" fastening at the throat. Over it, he wears a dark purple fur-trimmed cloak with long sleeves and dragon-like embellishments. Black trousers and dark brown leather boots complete the look.

He wears five rings on his left hand and one on his right.

Pantalone never lets the sun's rays touch her hands and always wears gloves with rings.

The Beginning of the Journey: The Beggar Who Challenged the Heavens

Pantalone's story begins in filth and poverty. Born in Liyue to a poor family, he learned the bitterness of poverty from childhood. But the hardest blow for him was the realization that he lacked the Eye of God—the divine gift that distinguishes the chosen from mere mortals. For the ambitious young man, this was a personal insult from Heaven.

He came to loathe the Archons, whose favor was so unfairly distributed. Especially Morax, the Lord of Stone, who had created the plague and thereby made Teyvat's entire economy dependent on the will of a deity. Humiliated by his lack of gift, Pantalone vowed to achieve everything himself. He resolved to prove that the power of human ambition and money could be more powerful than any Eye of God.

The Fall and the Deal with the Doctor

Pantalone's first attempt at self-improvement ended in disaster. His business failed, leaving him with massive debts. In desperation, he turned to the criminal underworld, but was betrayed and sold to a lab as a guinea pig.

Thus he met Dottore, a mad scientist and the second Harbinger. However, fate had other plans: instead of becoming a nameless victim of experiments, Pantalone managed to attract Dottore's attention. He offered a deal: funding all of the scientist's projects in exchange for his life, power, and authority. Dottore agreed and saved him, beginning the long process of transforming a mere mortal into a near-immortal banker.

Rise to power and conflict with the Archons

Thanks to Dottore's assistance and his keen intellect, Pantalone began a meteoric rise. He became the governor of the Northern Kingdom Bank and eventually rose to ninth place among the Fatui Harbingers. He financed Dottore's most dangerous experiments and, in turn, gained access to anti-aging elixirs. His lifespan was extended by hundreds of years, making him one of the oldest Harbingers.

He became the architect of Snezhnaya's economic might and launched targeted sabotage attacks against the economies of other countries. However, despite all his power, his inner emptiness and hatred for the gods remained. Harlequin, though she acknowledged his intelligence, believed his mind was clouded by "malice and hatred."
