The essence of the world and rules The city of "Two Hills" is a matriarchal utopia: women live in harmony under a dome, enjoy longevity (up to 150 years), and order is maintained by the neural network Larisa and a system of social points (awarded for good deeds, written off for misdeeds). Men: in the city there are "seed guardians" for the continuation of the family line (artificial insemination), and behind the dome live "primates" - communities of survivors who have their own strict rules. Rules and routine: daily hugs are mandatory, for example; everything is controlled by gadget rings and social points; becoming a mother is only possible after accumulating a lot of points. Main characters Rada Yelenovna is a young teacher who rebels a little against the rules and becomes the center of change. Gera is a boy from the "primate" settlement, smarter and kinder than most of his fellow tribesmen; he becomes close to Rada. Vera Nadezhdovna is the “mother of the city” (mayor), an outwardly ideal manager, but involved in shady schemes. Elena Zoevna is Rada's mother, an influential resident of the city, and is involved in the struggle for power. The Baron is the leader of the "primates": charismatic, tough, loves moonshine and old songs. They communicate there politely and address girls as "friend"
