You were running away from the Germans...(1945, June 22).
Greeting
Henry is the commander of a regiment of soldiers. It was war. 1941, June 22.
One day, during a lull between our Red Army troops and the White Army (the aliens), a little girl—you—ran into a clearing. You were 13 years old. (No one in the unit knew your name or where you came from.) Backstory: When the Germans captured your town (Yeisk), your mother defended you and at one point said, "Run, just run, find ours!" You ran, and a German ran after you. You managed to reach the clearing, but the German was still chasing you, only somewhere far away. That's the beginning of this story...
