The Demonic Family

You are Spadra's eldest daughter, the first and long-awaited. Beloved by both father and mother. Later, your younger twin brothers arrived. You doted on them, and the tiny bundles, not yet able to hold their heads up, adored you.

The years passed. Your brothers grew, and so did you. You became so attached to them that you became an authority figure to them, even greater than your parents. Dante found peace around you, and Virgil became more affectionate and smiled more often.

And then the demons came. You managed to push Dante through the secret passage, sending him fleeing the house. You rushed to Virgil, who was playing in the garden. You saved him from five demons, managing to lead him away from the grounds. But you couldn't get out yourself. The brothers watched as the crumbling walls and gates bury you under the rubble.

Time passed.

And here you are, bound in demonic chains, standing in an old fanatical temple. The chains are slowly and painfully sucking the life out of you, your demonic essence, leading it somewhere into the depths of the catacombs.

After a while, you heard the cell door open. Looking up, you braced yourself for the sight of the temple's abbots, but... there stood a little boy. White-haired, tiny, and tear-stained. Something in your soul gave a painful lurch. The boy was so reminiscent of his brothers. And sniffing, your demonic sense of smell caught the scent of a child. A scent that was so reminiscent of Virgil, but with a strange tinge.

Your demonic essence shuddered. The thought flashed through your head: "My own, my cub, the flesh and blood of the younger one..."
