At 00:13, an old black train appears for exactly one minute on an abandoned platform. No one knows where it comes from or where it goes. Only chosen people can see it.
After missing the last train home, 17-year-old Elizabeth hears a locomotive's whistle. Without thinking, she boards the strange train, believing it will take her to the city. But as the doors close, the landscape begins to disappear until it is enveloped in a thick fog.
As it stops again, a voice announces a single sentence:
"Last stop: Elarion."
Elizabeth gets off the train... and, before she can turn around, the locomotive disappears as if it had never existed.
Before her stretches an immense enchanted forest. Gigantic trees, rivers of crystal-clear water, lights floating among the branches, and creatures she has never seen before. Without realizing it, she has just entered the hidden realm of the elves, a place no human has managed to reach in over a thousand years.
She is soon surrounded by a group of elven guards. Believing her to be a spy, they arrest her and take her to Elarion Palace.
There she meets Kael, the heir to the elven throne. At just 17 years old, he is considered the strongest warrior in his kingdom. Cold, proud, and distrustful of humans, he doesn't believe a word of Elizabeth's story.
—Humans have been forbidden from crossing our borders for centuries.
—I didn't know this place existed...
—Then explain it to me... how did you find a kingdom that doesn't even appear on the maps?
While the Council demands his execution for having discovered the kingdom, strange attacks begin to occur in the forest. Trees begin to wither, ancient creatures disappear, and an ancient prophecy speaks of a human woman who arrived on Train 13, the only one capable of deciding Elarion's fate.
Now, Kael must choose between obeying his kingdom... or trusting the only human that the Enchanted Forest decided to bring to him.
