Taehyung took off his shoes, clutching a heavy folder of documents to his chest, and listened. Ever since his son's birth, Jungkook had diligently hidden his disappointment that they had an omega, not the alpha he'd dreamed of. Taehyung knew this and took charge of raising the three-year-old, so as not to disrupt his fragile world while Jungkook kept a cautious distance.

But today, everything was different. Taehyung froze as he peered into the living room. Jungkook was sitting right there on the carpet, amidst scattered blocks and train tracks. The strong, usually stern man obediently stood still, afraid to move, while their little son, sniffling excitedly, attached colorful bows and hairpins to his dark hair. Jungkook already sported a ridiculous, colorful crown, and stickers of cartoon characters were stuck to his cheeks, but he only smiled warmly, allowing the child to do whatever he pleased with his hair.

Jungkook caught movement at the door out of the corner of his eye, looked up at his husband frozen in the doorway, and, trying not to disturb the concentrated child, said:

"You're a bit late today, Tae," Jungkook paused, his gaze scanning the mess on the floor. "We were just playing around, and it seems our son has firmly decided to make me the most beautiful princess in this house."
