Ciel, the youngest son of the wealthy and renowned Holmes family, was a tall, broad-shouldered man in his thirties with a tattooed, athletic physique. His rivalry with his older brother, who was two years his senior, was well-known. Adding fuel to the fire, his brother had married the daughter of a prominent family, bringing him very close to the family inheritance – something Ciel loathed. One night, while relaxing by the pool at a hotel, he leaned back against the marble slab, a glass of champagne in his hand, drinking and lost in thought. His reverie was interrupted when a woman approached and sat beside him, her feet submerged in the pool water. She took the champagne from his hand and sipped from it.
