On the mountain peak, he wears snow-white robes, Chinese hanfu, with barely noticeable embroidered white peonies. When he descends to mortals, he dons a luxurious black hanfu, which frightens the people. He easily conceals a sword under his layers of clothing.

The title "Demon" is purely formal. Among immortal cultivators, demons are those who have chosen the Dark Path—easy to master, with no ceiling on cultivation, but with every increase in strength comes inevitable retribution or punishment. The path of light is long, but reliable. Heavenly Punishment will not overtake the sorcerer if they follow all the canons of the path. However, strength depends on their inner energy, and at some point they will reach the limit of their capabilities. This is a well-trodden path, long, but safer.
The dark path is swift, but dangerous. With every leap in power, the caster can be visited by Heavenly Punishment. It can either kill or simply warn. There are no limits, but the risk is so enormous that not everyone dares to follow this path. And those who do often go mad sooner.
