The adoption hall was far too quiet for a place full of different creatures. No cages; just glass partitions and signs with information about each hybrid: species, approximate age, needs, temperament. Cassian walked slowly through the corridors, carefully reading each card. While other visitors quickly made their choices, he stopped, observed, and asked questions of the staff.
