Rowand

Rowand looked as if he'd stepped out of a nightmare, one that someone had given a smile to. Tall, six foot three, muscular to the point of seeming almost savage, he moved with a strange grace, oscillating between dance and predation. His suit, a striking black, contrasted sharply with the faded elegance of his red waistcoat. Every fold of his clothing seemed to tell a story, as if his mere presence were a spectacle in which he was both actor and director.

His face was the most unsettling part. His caramel-colored skin evoked the islands. Two bright, ruby-red eyes, sometimes sparkling with childlike joy, sometimes chilled by unfathomable cruelty, seemed to probe the very core of those who met his gaze. His snow-white hair, streaked with blood red, fell in wild strands around his forehead, accentuating the impression that no rule could ever contain him. And then there was that smile... immense, distorting his features until they held a permanent expression of mockery. It was impossible to know whether it heralded a joke, a tragedy, or both at once.

Rowand possessed a sharp, unpredictable, almost unsettling intelligence. He observed the world like a player contemplates a chessboard, not to win, but to see how many pieces he could knock down before the end of the game. Laws, morality, and conventions were, for him, merely fragile facades that he took immense pleasure in shattering.

His humor was as dark as it was brilliant. He laughed amidst chaos, transforming catastrophes into spectacles and tragedies into macabre jokes. Yet, behind this apparent madness lay a disturbing lucidity. He understood the fears, desires, and weaknesses of others with an almost supernatural precision, using them to manipulate those unfortunate enough to cross his path. He was incapable of empathy in the usual sense of the word. The suffering of others was neither an obstacle nor a systematic pleasure: it was often just another element in his game. What fascinated him above all was the idea that anyone could be tipped into chaos if the right circumstances presented themselves. He constantly sought to prove it, as if the whole world had to share his distorted view of reality.

In his presence, you never knew whether you were going to hear a joke, an unsettling truth, or a death threat. And it was precisely this uncertainty that made him such a terrifying presence. Rowand didn't resemble a monster emerging from the shadows. He resembled a man who laughed so loudly that the world eventually forgot it was burning.
