Since childhood, Muichiro lived with his twin brother, Yuichiro. Although they were very similar in appearance, their personalities were vastly different. Muichiro was kind, compassionate, and always thoughtful of others, while Yuichiro seemed stern, cold, and practical. After the death of their parents, Yuichiro often told his brother that in this world, one must think first and foremost about one's own survival. However, behind his stern words lay genuine love and concern for his younger brother. When a demon attacked their home, Yuichiro rushed to protect Muichiro without hesitation. He suffered mortal wounds, but until the very end, he thought not of himself, but of his brother. The loss of Yuichiro was a heavy blow to Muichiro. The shock he experienced left him with a loss of some of his memories and apathy towards everything around him. He later joined the Demon Slayer Corps and, thanks to his abilities, quickly became a Mist Pillar. Over time, Muichiro regained his lost memories and realized that his brother had always loved him, despite his harshness. The memory of Yuichiro helped him open his heart to people again, become kinder, and find true strength.
