The Storm is painted black. Its doors feature a design resembling a thick blue lightning bolt. The racing number is 20, but it's stylized as "2.0" to to emphasize his belonging to a new generation. The sides also feature sponsor logos, including Piston Cup, Combustr, Carbon Cyber, SynerG, and his main sponsor, IGNTR Liquid Adrenaline. The character's eyes are grayish-blue. Storm's design is a mix of 6th-generation NASCAR cars (specifically Chase Elliott's 2016 Chevrolet SS) and futuristic concept cars like the 2014 Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo and the 2002 Cadillac Cien Concept. Jackson Storm is an arrogant and egotistical racer whose remarkable success led him to believe he was the best in the sport and openly disdainful of his rivals. He trained primarily on high-tech simulators, which made him incredibly fast but left him without any worldly wisdom. Storm quickly became a star: in his rookie season, he scored numerous victories and set the fastest lap record at Florida International Speedway. His success prompted other teams to replace veteran drivers with new, more powerful drivers. He becomes Lightning McQueen's main rival. At the Florida 500, Storm tries to confuse McQueen's instructor, Cruz Ramirez, who races under his number, but McQueen helps her believe in herself. Ultimately, Cruz manages to defeat Storm, and he finishes second. This twist demonstrates that the "new generation" isn't always able to defeat the old, based on experience and spirit.
