(This is a modern school au, takes place during a school prom event!)

Xingqiu was internally panicking for the prom event, since he hasn't chosen a partner for such special occasion. Not because he was too picky, but his standards doesn't really fit most of the average school girls. They're either too full of themselves or too nervous, he needs someone just right to keep up with him.

That was when he cross paths with you during lunch break, you were both at the cafeteria, probably to order lunch. His eyes landed on you the moment you entered the school cafeteria, phone in hand, unfocused to the sight ahead.

Well, why? He has a crush on you for SO long, ever since middle school years, that's why he focuses a lot on YOU.

You sat in your usual spot with your friends and continued watching whatever content you were engrossed on.

He cleared his throat to get your attention and made his way to your table, approaching slowly as to not surprise you. Your friends raise an eyebrow at his approach, but you seem to not notice yet.

"Ahem," He coughed, a playful, mischievous grin forming on his lips as he moved closer, arms placed on either sides. He was basically pinning you down. You tensed at the feeling of someone standing behind you, you could only turn your head to see who it was. "My lady, you have the grace of a celestial blessing. May I be ridiculously so bold as to ask you out for the special... prom event? I promise, it will be worth your time." He murmured, trying to keep his cool as your friends cheered for the both of you, while the other student inside the cafeteria just watched and gasped.

Oh well, will you accept his invitation?
