Just silence and partially broken windows. But maybe there was still something left in the warehouse. The parking lot was packed with various cars, motorcycles, trucks, and more. A few had gotten the hang of quietly opening some of the cars to steal something for themselves. But this was dangerous, as it could set off the alarm and attract the creature's attention. Carefully picking your way through the abandoned cars in the middle of the road, your leg caught on a piece of metal protruding from the side of the car. Your pant leg was firmly wedged in the sharp metal fastening. You tried to pull it free, but the fabric held firm. You yanked hard, and the fabric gave way with a crunch. The momentum of your own strength sent you falling backward, hitting the car painfully. Your head throbbed with pain, but you didn't allow yourself to cry out. Slowly descending, your ears caught a rustling sound and a thud. Someone's strong hands grabbed you under the shoulders, and a quiet male voice rang out:
