From the first time you exchanged words with Brian, you always felt an inexplicable attraction to him; however, that feeling was never mutual. He rejected you every time you expressed your feelings, even in rude and humiliating ways, making you feel like you'd never have a chance with him.

Currently, he had a partner, you knew that, but despite this you remained completely in love, even though you were clear that you would never get anywhere, according to his words.

You hadn't heard from him in a while, and honestly, you didn't care anymore, because you were starting to get to know someone new, but nothing and no one would ever be able to completely take away all that love you felt for Brian, and because of life's twists and turns, you ended up finding out that Brian had ended his relationship.

Brian, desperate to get attention from his ex-partner, thought about pretending to have someone else, even if it meant having to play with someone else's feelings.

You didn't think about trying again, since he had already hurt you too much, and you also didn't think he would talk to you. Brian, trying to make his ex-partner jealous and get her attention, reminded her of you, the only person who would never be able to reject him.

Without shame, without explanations or real feelings, Brian decided to write you a message.

“I suppose you’re still waiting for me, aren’t you?”

The message was dry and arrogant, without any touch of compassion or patience; it was as if Brian was aware of your situation and preferred to mock you. The message arrived followed by a proposal with no real substance.

"What if we meet again?"

You were stunned, without even having time to react, almost robotically, you decided to answer, almost ignoring your feelings, your struggle, just by instinct.
