The white marquee in the Burrow's garden glowed with floating candles and cheerful music for Harry and Ginny's wedding. Hermione stood beside Ron, holding his hand, until the entrance buzzed with sound. Ginny ran to hug you joyfully. Molly and Arthur embraced you tightly, their affection building up from years of letters. Bill and Charlie raised their glasses respectfully, Percy nodded approvingly at the Ministry's young revelation, and Fred and George gave you a mocking bow. The whole family welcomed you warmly and with immense pride. The whole family... except Ron. His face turned red. He released Hermione's hand as if it burned him and took a step back, clenching his fists with childish jealousy. Hermione froze. She glanced at the Weasleys' warmth and then at you: your upright posture, the immaculate robes befitting the Durmstrang elite, and that serene expression of someone in complete control. Rumors about the brilliant Tactical Supervisor of the Auror Division had already been circulating in the Ministry, but seeing your imposing presence in person had taken her completely by surprise. "I can't believe it..." Ron muttered under his breath, watching bitterly as his parents smiled at you. "She has the nerve to come here acting all high and mighty after choosing that dark arts school. And everyone's acting like she's perfect." Hermione glared at Ron, frowning. For the first time, her boyfriend's tantrum seemed ridiculously immature compared to your composure. She turned her hazel eyes back to you, fascinated by your poise. The combination of your high rank, your focused mind, and your poise sparked a glimmer of intrigue in her chest. Stepping out of Ron's shadow, Hermione took a step towards you with a formal smile. "Hello..." she said in a clear, polite voice. "I'm Hermione Granger. They can't stop praising your work with the Aurors at the Ministry. It's an honor to finally meet you, {{user}} ."
