Hollyberry Kingdom (crk🍪)

The Hollyberry Kingdom is a kingdom founded by Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie. Currently, it is ruled by Royal Berry Cookie and Jungleberry Cookie, with Head Icon Princess Cookie being its princess. It is also the birthplace of Head Icon Tiger Lily Cookie.

Stylistically and thematically, this kingdom takes inspiration from the Rococo and Baroque aesthetics[1]. By extension, this kingdom is likely also based on Romance language-speaking European nations such as France, Portugal, and Spain, and European Romanticism as a philosophy and time period. The kingdom being located in a rainforest area is likely based on South America, the mostly tropical continent with countries like Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela which were once colonized by the latter two aforementioned countries. The Hollyberry Kingdom is located on the continent of Crispia in the Cookie Kingdom. It is located on the southernmost edge of the continent sitting on the coast of an ocean/sea; it is unclear which body of water is being referred to, but it may likely be the Jellyfish Ocean. The kingdom lies adjacent to the Dragon's Valley and the City of Wizards with the Tower of Frozen Waves off of its coast. The nearest kingdom in relation to the Hollyberry Kingdom is the Dark Cacao Kingdom to the north-northeast.

According to a draft version of the Cookie Kingdom World Map, it also is surrounded by the Primeval Forest and the Little Witch's House, with part of the Candystick Archipelago nearby.

The kingdom's culture is as vivid and vibrant as the surrounding wilds. Songs and romance thrive in this land, and festivals are held here throughout the year. The only thing that is required of you in the Hollyberry Kingdom is to dance, dine, and be merry. It is only natural that the greatest bards and poets of Crispia have traced their roots to this place. Craft Dragon Toys The story of Hollyberry Cookie's victory over a Tropic Fruit Dragon is by all means, the kingdom’s most famous and loved story! Dragon toys can easily be found in most of the kingdom’s homes. Food Vibrant festivals illuminate the lives of the Hollyberry Kingdom's denizens, where plates are filled to the brim with hearty fruit turnovers, berry puddings, and Jelly canapés. In this region of the world, no ingredients are spared when cooking. The Cookies of the Hollyberry Kingdom firmly believe that it is a virtue to prepare cuisines of hefty portions and, whenever possible, invite as many guests to share in the delight. As much as they enjoy inviting each other, they also adore to be invited, as this culture of culinary wonders has also given birth to a culture of presenting gifts at many a party. Berry Juice This beverage is made out of fruits and berries growing in the Cranberry Forest. Each Noble House of the kingdom is believed to keep its own recipe for this drink. Traveling in the Hollyberry Kingdom, One can enjoy Berry Juice of hundreds of different flavors and aromas, each filling the drinker with its own sort of joy and happiness.

Architecture A pie frame, tightly woven together into a sturdy yet aesthetically impressive lattice, is layered with colored jam. To protect the houses from dragonfire, an extra overlay of dense tart is topped with thick jam, again forming an interwoven lattice. From such techniques is born a style of architecture fusing both form and function, aesthetics and endurance. Traditionally, the more luxurious abodes are decorated with an extra flair of frozen berries and vines. Grandberry Market The Hollyberry Kingdom is truly a land of maritime trade! One of its most prominent landmarks is the famous Grandberry Market. Among trade goods from all corners of Earthbread, you will find countless variations of Berry Juice, fruits and flowers native to this tropical land — the kingdom's main items of export. Berry Juice Baths No better place for a weary traveler! Dip your body into these fruit punches to soften those tired limbs. An experience of the utmost pleasure! Hollyberry Palace Every night the gates of the astonishing Royal Palace are crowded with Cookies attending the Royal Ball. the palace is famous for its great dome made of flowers and fruit, its spectacular lush gardens, and its gallant Royal Guard parades. Founding Cookie lords of the southeastern Crispia, tired of the endless struggle with fruit-eating monsters, saw a light of hope in the young, willful, and charismatic heir of House Berry, Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie. Under her heroic leadership, the devastating war with the Tortan was won, and Hollyberry Cookie was unanimously voted Queen of the newly-created Hollyberry Kingdom. Cookies of these lands united under the principles of House Berry: love and prosperity for all. The whole kingdom sang of Hollyberry Cookie’s heroic deeds, and the best Cookie painters eternalized the kingdom’s creation on the ceiling of the great dome built in its very heart.

Flora & Fauna Cranberry Forest Cranberry Forest is a distinct area within the wilds. As the Hollyberry Kingdom's primary source of foraging, one can find berries of all colors and sizes, such as cranberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. The tropical jungles and the Soda Ocean are home to a plethora of fruity Jelly creatures. Among the wildlife, Head Icon Tropic Fruit Dragonkin are infamous for plundering berries and have been in conflict with the Cookies of House Berry for ages.

But ever since tasting bitter defeat against Hollyberry Cookie, they keep emerging to challenge her in combat. Has this bitter conflict turned away from claiming berries to a friendly rivalry of skill and prowess? Or is it simply a means to taunt the Cookies of the Hollyberry Kingdom? Berries of All Kinds Denizens of the Hollyberry Kingdom consider their berries their most vital resource. Out of berries, they make all sorts of preserves and fizzy beverages. And those are not just beverages: locals believe they can heal a Hollyberrian's very soul! Geography & Environment The Hollyberry Kingdom's territory is a vast tropical jungle—one of the hottest and most humid regions of Earthbread, home to diverse, colorful flora and fauna. One doesn't even have to go deep into the wilds to experience local natural marvels: the Palace Garden with its countless ever-fragrant flowers and fruit groves will provide unforgettable sensations to everyone's eyes and noses. From the North, the kingdom is shielded by high-rising mountains: while providing great natural defense, they also make sailing the only viable way to reach and trade with other parts of the world without getting into too much trouble. The kingdom is also famous for its monsoon rains. Massive downpours blanket the whole area for long periods of time, mixing flowers and fruits into delicious fruit punch!

Appearance Princess Cookie has golden dough and pink hair with two mirrored sets of three ringlets, each with candy-striped ribbons shaped similarly to hearts. She has twinkling scarlet-red eyes and wears a glittery layered pink dress with a frilly white petticoat, pouf sleeves, and a ruffled collar with a ruby-red brooch. She carries a bejeweled scepter that sports a crown on the tip and sports frilly gloves with rectangular cutouts on their backs. She wears no shoes.

Princess Cookie much more closely resembles her father's side of the family than her mother's side. Personality Princess Cookie's behavior often contrasts strikingly to what one would normally expect of how a royal would behave. Princess Cookie is often shown to be a fun, excitable, and bubbly individual. A notable trait of hers is her desire for adventures, as she even went as far as leaving her comfortable home in the Hollyberry Kingdom in search of the excitement and adventure she has craved for so long. Her longing for adventure causes her to sometimes be reckless and impulsive, often acting directly without proper thoughts and causing troubles for herself and others. However, it should be noted that she's charming and resourceful to a point that she always manages to sort out her problems in the end.

Being a member of a royal family, Princess Cookie would sometimes boast of her status as princess and would use it to order those around her to do her bidding, most notably her personal bodyguard, Head Icon Knight Cookie. Princess Cookie may also be somewhat spoiled and pampered, as she often expects Knight Cookie to protect her without absence. That being said, Princess Cookie more often uses her status as princess to help those around her in need, showing her selflessness and kindheartedness. She is also willing to take risks to help others around her, even if it would cost her her own well-being, as she insisted on helping the Watermelonians evacuate from danger in the Tropical Soda Islands.

Appearance Raspberry Cookie is an average-height Cookie with orange-pink, medium-dark dough. She has long crimson hair with light pink swirls. There is a swooping bang with a gradient of a burgundy to crimson. Two strands of hair are pulled back and tied back by a burgundy rosette hair tie with blue ribbons. She has burgundy eyes with white eyelashes and displays a confident smile.

Raspberry Cookie wears a dark wine dressage tailcoat with pink lining. A pastel blue band wraps around the waist. There are gold details that outline the hem of the coat and as a curly pattern on the sleeve cuffs. At the back of the ruffled tails are light pink emblems. She dons ruby-colored epaulettes with golden fringes, white gloves, and fashions a white, puffy cravat. She has white pants and short golden diamond-shaped boots.

Personality Raspberry Cookie is an honorable and fair (albeit pompous) fencer of House Raspberry. As the heiress of the House, she takes dueling and her family's dignity seriously; this is shown when, after hearing Princess Cookie's negative opinion on seeing Cookies fighting each other, she challenges the former to a duel. However, she quickly buries the hatchet and helps GingerBrave and friends in stopping Pitaya Dragon Cookie from annihilating the Hollyberry Kingdom.

Appearance Wildberry Cookie, a notably muscular Cookie, has pink hair in a side braid, pink eyes, and dark brown dough, similar to many Hollyberrian Cookies. His hair is overall long, and much of it drapes over his head and above the steel headband he wears. He is considerably taller than most other Cookies, as stated by other Cookies such as Crunchy Chip Cookie and Royal Margarine Cookie and as shown by his overworld animations.

His outfit consists of a silver suit of armor with a blazing red sash and dull plum band about his chest. Behind his armor his sash continues into a cloak that drags on the ground. His weapon of choice is a massive gauntlet with spikes on the fist, which is stated to be quite heavy and difficult for other Cookies to carry. The silver gauntlet is adorned with a pink quatrefoil gem, his cloak having a similar emblem on the back. Personality In contrast to other Hollyberrians and Hollyberry Cookie herself, Wildberry Cookie is an individual of few words, lacking the usual bursts of emotion seen in his fellow Hollyberrians, and will generally utter words only when spoken to. Even so, his responses are short and straight to the point. He is always seen with a deadpan face and expresses little-to-no emotion, as well as being a no-nonsense type. The only time he is seen to show strong emotion is during battle, in which he shouts loudly whenever he attacks.

Past his hard exterior, though, Wildberry Cookie is a trustworthy and loyal fighter who remains humble while being aware of his strengths. He has shown himself to be plenty capable in social situations and even appreciates wordplay—he simply prefers to keep what he says short.

Appearance Tiger Lily Cookie is an average-height, muscular Cookie with notably thick legs and a more lean upper body. She has exceedingly long, straight teal hair that sits in a pile at her feet. Her bangs are parted in the middle, and she has wide eyes with slit carnelian pupils and a single eyelash on each eye. In her hair is an orange hibiscus against two dark green leaves.

Tiger Lily Cookie wears a short, sleeveless dress with a jagged hem and a striped pattern resembling a tiger's pelt. She wears brown leather boots with cream laces and a darker brown fur trim. Overall, Tiger Lily Cookie heavily resembles her mother rather than her father.

Personality Tiger Lily Cookie is akin to a cautious yet capable tigress both in personality and behavior: growling and purring, she spends much of her time skulking about in the jungle's shadows. Such a persona was formed through her turbulent childhood: born into the Hollyberry Kingdom's royal family, Tiger Lily Cookie was kidnapped by dragons ransacking the land as a newborn during Hollyberry Cookie's absence. Though a friendly Butter Tiger would adopt her after she was cast into the jungle, Tiger Lily Cookie would from there struggle with rebuilding her identity. Inadvertently, she would take after her mother, a Cookie once born into a jungle warrior group, and rewrite herself as a fierce spearfighter with a keen lay of the land and connection with its fauna. As a result of her separation from society, Tiger Lily Cookie has difficulty speaking in standard Cookie language, talking slowly and relying on simple terms while interjecting with animal sounds more familiar to her. Though she is capable of communication, she is still a quiet, independent individual, often preferring not to interact with others at all.

Appearance Knight Cookie is a short, somewhat stocky Cookie with golden dough, turquoise-blue eyes, and rosy red lips. He has small tufts of golden blonde hair, which can be seen underneath his helmet.

Knight Cookie wears a suit of armor made of white chocolate, with a matching helmet adorned with a pale blue plume. He wears a long turquoise cape that covers his backside. Underneath the armor he wears white pants and black boots. He carries a turquoise, candy-striped lance with a white handle with him. The land is sheathed into his armor when not in use.

He is sometimes seen riding a sandy brown horse donned with the same white chocolate armor that Knight Cookie himself wears. The horse has a large, pointy horn on its head. Powder blue fabric with a lighter blue heart motif drapes the armor, and the hooves are covered with turquoise armor that covers up to the calf. Knight Cookie makes a significant appearance in the Tropical Soda Islands Story as Princess Cookie's bodyguard and retainer. He subsequently also appears in the Story of Grandberry Market and Hollyberry Palace.

Jungleberry Cookie is the queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom. Though she acted as a figurehead ruler while the kingdom was under Pitaya Dragon Cookie's rule, she did serve as council to Pitaya Dragon Cookie and had more control over the kingdom than her husband did. Jungleberry Cookie is the daughter-in-law of Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie, the wife of Royal Berry Cookie, and the mother of Princess Cookie and Tiger Lily Cookie Appearance Jungleberry Cookie has tan dough and wears a sparkling dress that's green fading into a deep emerald, decorated with white ruffled layers, a white and pastel green striped underskirt, and a small purple crest below her ruffled collar, with white puff sleeves. She also sports a gold crown on her head, with a small red heart in the center, and two small rubies on each side. She has cyan hair put up in a ponytail drill on the right side, and orange eyes with white lashes.

He is the king of the Hollyberry Kingdom, though he acted as a figurehead ruler alongside his wife Jungleberry Cookie while the kingdom is under Pitaya Dragon Cookie's rule. Royal Berry Cookie is the son of Hollyberry Cookie and the father of Princess Cookie and Tiger Lily Cookie Personality Royal Berry Cookie, unlike his mother, is a timid Cookie who greatly worries for the safety of those he cares about. He is cautious of ideas that he deems dangerous and puts the feelings of others as his top priority in his decision making. He instead lets Jungleberry Cookie make decisions for him, with Royal Berry Cookie himself chiming in with his opinions every so often. Even though both his mother and his Head Icon first daughter crave for adrenaline filled adventures—and his wife and second daughter share a skill of the hunt—he himself is not enthusiastic about the concept of adventuring or fighting. He is deeply concerned with the safety of Princess Cookie and limits her ability to adventure on her own due to this concern, which only results in Princess Cookie sneaking out to adventure instead. Once she proved she was able to fight for herself, however, Royal Berry Cookie gave no hesitation in allowing her to venture the vast world on her own.

According to his mother, his cautious and timid personality was also present in his younger days. Hollyberry Cookie believes that her son picked the perfect Cookie to keep him safe and be his wife, and she knows he had a keen eye for Cookies even as a child.

Appearance Hollyberry Cookie is a wide and muscular Cookie with an orange-brown dough. She has pink eyes with tiny eyelashes. Her pink hair is tied into two large hair buns supported by braids and adorned with leaves, resembling berries. She has small split bangs over her forehead and short hair on the sides of her head.

As the queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom, she appropriately wears an elegant pink dress. The dress has round sleeves and a maroon skirt, worn alongside white arm gloves, and has a single holly berry worn as a neckpiece. Heart motifs can be seen all around her dress, like the bust and skirt of the dress, as well as on the long gloves. She wears a white petticoat and white boots underneath the dress.

Her heart shield is all pink, with brown stripes covering the center, resembling a lattice piecrust pattern. The shield is adorned with holly berries and leaves on both sides, with her Soul Jam in the center of the shield. Personality Much like her granddaughter, Hollyberry Cookie has a love for adventure and excitement, often venturing into the wilds on her own. On top of that, Hollyberry Cookie enjoys sparring and fighting and leads her subjects on the front lines to victory as the ruler and founder of the Hollyberry Kingdom. Being a fierce and fiery fighter, Hollyberry Cookie excels on the battlefield and even emerges victorious in her spars with the Red Dragon, who acknowledges her as the only worthy opponent for them. A notable trait of this Cookie is that she values friendship over a lot of things, with even her dialogue stating that making a new friend is the equivalent of emerging victorious in a battle, as she believes that Cookies were created to be joyous and to unite with other fellow Cookies to live happily together.

Similarly to her close friend Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie deeply cares for her kingdom and the citizens within it, vowing to protect them.

Pitaya Dragon Cookie is a relatively thick, average-height Cookie with bubblegum pink dough. They have sharp white teeth and reptile-like eyes with white slit pupils and black sclerae. They have dark red markings under their eyes. Their white hair is presumably a ponytail that's long and fluffy, with black seeds in it, resembling the flesh of a dragon fruit. They wear scarlet scale armor with magenta accents and a red gemstone in the middle of their torso. They wear armor shoulder blades that have two spikes going up. They wear a helmet with five spikes going up and a diamond shape in the middle. They have a red tail that fades to a palm green. Both of their legs have two light green spikes on the side. The end of their tail is missing from when Knight Cookie chopped it off.

In their disguise, their frontal hair slicks to the back with a side bang that appears on the left side on them. They wear a hurricane gray cloak with a gold brooch with a peach orange rope knot. They wear a clinched-waist maroon shirt on top of a Victorian intimate white puffy blouse. Their gloves are black with X's on them and their pants are also black. Their tail is loosely hidden behind their cloak.

Just when the world was still young, a legend began to spread among all Cookiekind — the tale of a red and greenish dragon who lived in a blazing land now known as Dragon's Valley. That legendary creature was none other than Pitaya Dragon Cookie.

Pitaya Dragon Cookie is an ancient dragon whose name has been told in countless stories, often described as a fearsome and powerful being. They are said to have existed “long before Cookies ran.” Despite their legendary status, Pitaya Dragon Cookie’s personality is quite unusual for someone so mighty. They’re cocky and see almost everyone beneath them — especially Cookies. To them, Cookies are fragile, tiny, and weak beings, far too boring to be worth their time. Because of this, the dragon constantly seeks something — or someone — exciting enough to break that boredom. And for them, that excitement comes from battle. Pitaya Dragon Cookie has fought many opponents throughout history. One of their fights was against Head Icon Knight Cookie, who managed to chop off part of the dragon’s tail. But their most memorable fight was against Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie, the Queen Mother herself. She actually managed to defeat Pitaya Dragon Cookie, earning their respect. Since then, the dragon has considered her the only Cookie who was truly “fun” and longs to face her again one day.

Even though Pitaya Dragon Cookie has a poor opinion of Cookies in general, seeing most of them as weak and fragile, there are a few they find amusing, peculiar, or brave enough to be worth their attention. Because of the dragon’s incredible power, many Cookies have tried to reach them throughout history. Countless brave souls have ventured into the Dragon's Valley in search of their nest. Once there, Cookies would share their wishes with the dragon, hoping Pitaya Dragon Cookie would grant them. However, their fate depended entirely on the dragon’s judgment.

The Cookies of the Hollyberry Kingdom are of an optimistic and cheerful temperament due to the radiant sun above and the sweet earth below. As unpredictable as the weather itself, these denizens also embrace a sense of spontaneity and cannot endure the normalcy of boredom. Hollyberrians never say no to glasses of aged fruit juice, a passion of the kingdom. Conversations that are shared next may sound quite obtuse and rough, occasionally leading to a brawl or two. But despite the outbreak of arguments, the Cookies of the Hollyberry Kingdom are also quick to reconcile.

Denizens of the Hollyberry Kingdom are referred to as Hollyberrians. Hollyberrians can take a wide variety of body types, from heavyset to relatively thin to muscular depending on their discipline and activities. Their dough tends to be anywhere from a golden bronze to a warm, deep brown, and their hair comes in a variety of jewel tones in generally straight or wavy textures. Their eye colors take a similar vibrancy and almost always display white eyecing. The vast majority of its individuals have fruit—specifically berry—flavors, though rarely they may take plant/flower flavors.

Hollyberrians in general are highly undisciplined and live their lives with a hedonistic philosophy. Befitting a society based on Romanticism, they constantly participate in delicacies and other delights, enjoying social events and displays of artistic talent and heroic bravery. Even those more disciplined, such as the nobility, tend to be highly proud, pampered, and enthusiastic.

With the exception of those mentioned, the other cookies lead fairly ordinary lives as citizens of their kingdoms. They all live unique lives and have unique appearances. No two cookies are exactly alike. Occasionally, they go on explorations or missions at the behest of their ruler, but otherwise, they are content with their ordinary lives in the kingdoms. They can also vary in height, from the size of a 5-year-old child (often these are cookie children) to slightly taller than an adult.

Coat of Arms & Symbols The Hollyberry Kingdom's coat of arms is a horizontally rectangular flag split into four equal quadrants, with the upper left and lower right being a salmon pink and the upper right and lower left taking a magenta color. Emblazoned in the middle is a warm brown lattice pie crust shield with four hollyberries upon it in an X-shape formation, a mauve dagger with a golden hilt and crossguard behind it, and Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie's heart-shaped Soul Jam surrounded by pearls in its center. A parchment scroll flutters in front of this centerpiece, which reads "Holly Berry" according to an early promotional video. In the centers of the four background quadrants are golden emblems in the shapes of various berries, likely representing the most prominent houses of the kingdom. Other symbols commonly used to represent the Hollyberry Kingdom are Hollyberry's Soul Jam itself (and hearts in general by extension), vibrant fruits and berries, rain forests and palm trees, topiary, tigers, roses, pies and other pastries, the fleur-de-lis, dragons (particularly Head Icon Pitaya Dragon Cookie), berry juice/wine, and Rococo-style architecture and art. The colors most associated with this kingdom are vibrant pinks, purples, and reds, toasty browns and golds, tropical blue-greens, and marble creams.
