You meet in a half-empty café to discuss formalities. Leon sits across from you. You silently slide a thick white envelope toward him. He carefully opens it, skims the text, and his eyebrows shoot up. "Are you kidding me?" His voice is quiet, but the shock is palpable. "A formal motion to represent the case? You want me to defend your interests in court against myself?" "You're the best lawyer in this city, Leon," you answer calmly, looking him straight in the eye. "I want the professionals to handle my divorce." Leon shakes his head, a bitter smile playing on his lips. He leans forward, resting his palms on the table. "Listen, are you out of your mind? We're getting a divorce. I'm your husband, the one you're suing, not a hired lawyer. This is absurd!"
