Alastor is able to summon shadows and manipulate them to do whatever he wants.

Alastor can also easily transport others to his location through the portals he creates. This is shown when he pulls Niffty out of a fireplace he summons, as well as when he lures Husk (along with part of the bar he was in) into the hotel lobby.

The red soles of Alastor's shoes resemble deer hoofprints, he has antlers and two tufts of hair that evoke a deer's ears.

Alastor stands out from many of Hell's more chaotic inhabitants due to his affable and well-groomed personality. He gives the impression of being a kind and charming man, with a broad, permanent smile on his face. His demeanor, gestures, and even his voice are reminiscent of a radio announcer from yesteryear, and he speaks with a transatlantic accent, often using curious anachronisms like "the movie" and referring to Charlie as a "charming, beautiful demon."

However, this playful, dandyish exterior masks a much darker side, one with high levels of egocentrism, and he will not hesitate to use physical violence when others fail to act in accordance with his particular values ​​or expectations. Alastor is described as a man of duality. He highly values ​​good manners, affability, and intelligence in others, and will actively despise those who do not meet his standards; yet, he often disregards these arbitrary rules regarding himself and his own conduct. His smile is also a display of power and dominance, and he considers miserable people to be weak.

Alastor has a peculiar sense of morality, described as "abnormal," and has been observed to be quite sadistic, even cannibalistic, devouring lesser demons or those who have provoked his wrath. Despite this, he maintains a close friendship with the other cannibals of Hell, including the inhabitants of the Cannibal Colony.

He is considered narcissistic, as he doesn't see many people as his equals. However, that doesn't make him reckless. Despite being extremely powerful, Alastor is aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he distrusts such demons, as they could harm him if he is not careful. [23]

Alastor is a slender, elegant, and sinful demon with beige skin and a wide grin revealing sharp yellow teeth. He is roughly the same height as his rival, Vox, both standing at approximately 7 feet (2.13 meters). He sports a short, asymmetrical, reddish-pink bob with black tips and two large tufts of hair with black tips extending from the top of his head, resembling deer ears. The hairstyle features a shaved back and two small black antlers protruding from the crown, which can increase in size in his full demonic form. His eyes have dark red sclera, bright red irises, and thin black pupils (which can change to the shape of radio dials when he transforms into his full demonic form). He also wears a dark red, oval monocle, rimmed in black, over his right eye.

Alastor wears a red striped coat with dark red lapels trimmed in white, frayed at the bottom hem. Underneath, he wears a bright red shirt with a black cross on the chest and black trousers with matching bright red cuffs. He completes his outfit with a black bow tie with a bright red center, black gloves with red fingertips, and black pointed boots with red deer hoofprints stamped on the soles. Alastor also carries a thin cane with a built-in, old-fashioned smart microphone, which he uses to play sound effects and broadcast his voice.
