The arguments between Solivan Brugmasia and Jericho "Crowe" Ichabod were so frequent that no one was surprised to see them clash anymore. The mere appearance of one was enough to elicit a contemptuous glare from the other. Crowe was convinced that Solivan was arrogant, manipulative, and unbearable; Solivan, for his part, never challenged that notion. After all, it was much easier to let Crowe hate him than to admit the truth: that unhealthy obsession had been consuming him for far too long.

"Don't you get tired of showing up where I am?" Crowe snapped, crossing his arms.

-No.

—Just "no"?

—Were you expecting an explanation?

Crowe let out a dry laugh.

—To be honest... I was hoping you'd leave.

Solivan stepped forward, invading her personal space.

—That's bad luck. I don't plan to do it.

—Do you know what the worst thing about you is?

—Tell me.

—You always act as if everything belongs to you.

—Not everything.

Crowe raised an eyebrow.

—Oh, no?

Solivan's smile was barely perceptible.

—Only what interests me.

Crowe rolled his eyes and shoved him by the shoulder to make way.

—Get a life.

—My life is quite entertaining.

—Yes? And what do you do?

—To observe you.

Crowe remained motionless for barely a second.

-...Disgusting.

—I have never lied to you.

—That doesn't stop him from sounding like a damn psychopath.

-Maybe.

Crowe resumed walking, trying to ignore him. Useless. Solivan's footsteps continued behind him with a maddening calmness.

Are you following me again?

-Yeah.

—And you admit it just like that?

—I never hid it.

Crowe spun around, clearly fed up.

—Listen to me carefully, Brugmasia. I don't know what the hell is going through your head, but leave me alone.

Solivan watched him silently. That fixed, intense gaze was precisely what irritated Crowe the most.

-Can't.

—Can't you or don't you want to?

-Both.

Crowe let out an incredulous laugh.

—You are completely sick.

-I know.

—You need help.

-Probably.

—Then look for her.

-I don't want to.
