Memories A significant part of the chapter takes place in flashbacks. The player visits school, the Graves family's apartment, grandparents' house, and other places from Andrew and Ashley's childhood. It is here that their past and relationship with their parents are revealed.

Gas
Station The heroes stop at the gas station to wait out the time, use the store and avoid getting caught by the police.

Camping and forest
One of the main locations of the chapter. There is a tent camp, forest trails, caves and abandoned places. This is where most of the main events of Episode 3 take place.

Lighthouse
An abandoned lighthouse with puzzles and symbols related to Lord Unknown. Here the heroes find new clues and move on.

The World of Lord Unknown
A supernatural space belonging to a demon. There are rooms with showers, a ritual hall, a greenhouse, a bedroom, a hall with eyes and other rooms. It is here that Andrew interacts with Lord Unknown and learns more about his plans.

Andrew's
Mental World A special space where Andrew relives the important moments of his life. These memories help to understand the reasons for his behavior and relationship with Ashley.

After
escaping, Andrew and Ashley hide in a cheap motel, where they do not require documents. This is their first refuge. Here Ashley gets a prophetic dream about a killer.

City
Heroes explore the streets of the city in search of money, food, and information. Due to the fact that they are officially considered dead, they have to avoid unnecessary attention.

The
alley contains the entrance to the underground bar (Club 6FU), service rooms and an elevator. Here you can find money and other useful things.

This
is where Andrew and Ashley lure the hitman after Ashley's prophetic dream. This is where their clash takes place.

Parking
After the death of the killer, the heroes take his car and use it for further travel.

Graves HouseThe
main location of the second chapter. Douglas and Renee Graves live here. The house consists of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, basement and garden. It is here that the meeting with the parents, the night ritual and their murder take place.

Garden
Located behind the house. There is a back door, a fence and a place where the characters discuss the future plan after meeting with their parents.

Basement
Used as a utility room. Here are tools, household items and a place where the characters temporarily hide and prepare for further actions.

Dreams and visions
In the second chapter, Andrew's dreams and Ashley's prophetic visions related to Lord Unknown appear. Depending on the player's choice, they lead to different paths - Decay or Burial.

Episode 1 - The Coffin

Andrew and Ashley's Apartment (No406)
The main location of the first chapter. This is where the story begins. The apartment has a living room with kitchenette, parents' bedroom, Andrew and Ashley's room, bathroom and balcony. After the parents leave, the apartment becomes their refuge.

Cultist's Apartment (No405)
Next to the Heroes' Apartment. There is a ritual circle, occult books, candles, objects for summoning a demon, a kitchen cleaver and the body of a cultist. This is where Lord Unknown first appears.

Security room (No401)
On the fourth floor. There are surveillance cameras, security equipment, documents and some of the keys.

Apartment No302
One of the studied apartments. Here the heroes find supplies, tools and can continue their journey through the balcony.

Entrance
Connects all floors of the house. The elevator does not work. Most of the apartments are closed.

Locked Doors
At the beginning of the game, the front door of the apartment is blocked from the outside. Many apartments can only be opened with the keys found.

Balconies
The main way to move between apartments and explore the house.

Dom Street
is surrounded by armed guards. The main entrance is blocked, it is impossible to get out through it.

Episode 2 - Graves

After escaping, the heroes visit:

Episode 3 – Decay

👨 Douglas GravesDouglas

Graves is the father of Andrew and Ashley. In his youth, he became a father too early and was not ready for family life. He worked a regular job, constantly experienced financial difficulties and preferred to avoid family conflicts rather than solve them.

By nature, Douglas is a calm, indecisive and passive person. He rarely took the initiative in raising children and almost always agreed with the opinion of his wife, Renée. Despite the fact that he understood how difficult it was for Andrew, he almost never interfered and allowed him to take care of his younger sister from childhood.

During the quarantine, Douglas and his wife left the children, leaving Andrew and Ashley in an isolated house. Later, he drew up documents according to which the children were considered dead, and together with René received an insurance payment. Instead of looking for a way to save his children, he started a new life, which finally destroyed the relationship with them.

In the second chapter, Douglas meets Andrew and Ashley again. After revealing the whole truth, he becomes one of the victims of the events related to the brother and sister.

👩 --- Renee GravesRenee

Graves is the mother of Andrew and Ashley. It was she who was more engaged in the upbringing of children, but she did it extremely poorly. She was emotionally cold, irritable and constantly tired due to domestic problems and lack of money.

From childhood, Renee considered Ashley a difficult child and gradually shifted almost all responsibility for her upbringing to Andrew. While he was still a child himself, he had to feed his sister, look after her, protect her, and actually fulfill the role of a parent.

Renee rarely showed care or love for her children. During the quarantine, she and her husband left home and almost immediately stopped communicating. When Ashley was able to get through to her mother, Renee said not to call again and cut the conversation short.

Later it turned out that Renee and Douglas had drawn up documents according to which Andrew and Ashley were officially considered dead

3. The Demon (Lord Unknown) takes an increasing interest in Andrew and Ashley, continuing to watch them and interfere with their fate.

4. Andrew begins to remember his childhood and rethink his relationship with his mother, Ashley, and those around him. The player sees many memories that reveal the reasons for his character and behavior.

5. Depending on past choices, the plot is divided into different paths. Some decisions lead to dead-end endings, while others continue the main story.

6. In one of the main branches, Lord Unknown offers Andrew to make an alliance. After a long conversation, Andrew accepts the offer and goes through a portal to an unknown location, which becomes the conclusion of the first part of Episode 3: Decay and prepares the events of the next chapter.

Andrew is the most important person in Ashley's life. She trusts him completely and is emotionally dependent on him. Ashley constantly seeks his attention, fears that he will leave her one day, and reacts painfully if he gets close to other people. Due to the fear of being abandoned, she often deliberately provokes Andrew, violates his personal boundaries and arranges fights to make sure he is still around. Despite the conflicts, she sincerely loves her brother and is ready to do anything for him.

The relationship with my mother was extremely strained. Renee was almost not involved in Ashley's upbringing, leaving this responsibility to Andrew. 5. While searching for answers, they come on the trail of an occult cult that worships an entity known as Lord Unknown.

6. Andrew and Ashley decide to break into their parents' house to steal money, documents and everything necessary for a new life.

7. Unexpectedly, their mother returns home. She is surprised that the children are alive, but still allows them to stay the night.

8. At dinner, it becomes clear that the parents have long considered Andrew and Ashley dead and have already started a new life, taking advantage of insurance payments.

9. Ashley convinces Andrew that his parents should not be left alive. At night, they tie them up, perform a demonic ritual, and sacrifice their souls to the entity.

10. After the ritual, the parents are still alive, so Ashley kills them. Then the brother and sister get rid of the bodies and hide the traces of the crime.

11. After gaining new power from the demon, Ashley uses the talisman again to see a possible future. Depending on the player's choice, the story is divided into two branches, Decay and Burial, which lead to different events in the next chapter.

📖 Chronology of events (First chapter)

1. Quarantine is announced in the city due to allegedly contaminated water with parasites. The house where Andrew and Ashley live is completely isolated.

2. The parents leave the children and move away, leaving Andrew and Ashley alone in the apartment. At first, the guards bring food and water.

3. About three months pass. Food supplies are stopped. All residents begin to starve and lose hope for help.

4. An occultist neighbor conducts a ritual of summoning a demon. The demon appears and takes his soul, and the body remains in the apartment.

5. Ashley convinces Andrew to butcher his neighbor's body so as not to starve to death. They hide the traces of what happened.

6. At night, Andrew remembers an incident from his childhood involving Nina and their blood oath to keep this secret.

7. The next day, security guard Malcolm notices the disappearance of a neighbor and comes to check on the apartment. Andrew kills him to protect himself and Ashley.

🧠 Characters Andrew

(Andy):
Andrew is calm, reasonable, and very intelligent. He prefers to think first and then act. He often speaks sarcastically, quickly gets annoyed by Ashley's antics, but still continues to care for her. Since childhood, he has been used to taking responsibility and always tries to calculate the consequences of his actions. In public, he seems to be a polite and ordinary person, but inside he is emotionally closed and trusts few people. Despite everything that happens, Ashley's well-being remains a top priority for him.

Ashley (Laylie):
Ashley is impulsive, cocky and very emotional. She acts on intuition, not logic, loves to make fun of others and often behaves as if what is happening amuses her. She has little sympathy for strangers and is ready to go to great lengths to achieve her goals. Due to a difficult childhood and lack of parental care, Ashley has become extremely dependent on Andrew, fearful of losing him, and jealous when he pays attention to other people. Despite her cruelty, she feels calm next to her brother and trusts only him.

🤝 Relationship between Andrew and Ashley:
Brother and sister grew up with little to no parental involvement, so they began to rely on each other completely. Andrew has replaced Ashley as a parent, friend, and protector, and Ashley considers him the most important person in his life. They often argue, swear and can threaten each other, but in a critical situation, they always act together. Their bond is very strong, but at the same time unhealthy and codependent, which is one of the main themes of the whole story.

🔮 Demonic Amulet (Talisman):

After Ashley sacrifices the soul of one of the guards to the demon, the guard gives her a small talisman as a reward. The demon says that this amulet will allow her to see prophetic dreams and possible futures. From this point on, Ashley begins to receive realistic visions that warn of events that may occur. These dreams help her to notice danger in advance and sometimes change the course of future events. The amulet can also be used by Andrew, however, the demon warns that the talisman is intended specifically for Ashley.

🧸 Andrew and Ashley's childhood:

Andrew was born first, and two years later, Ashley was born. The parents were young and quickly stopped paying enough attention to their children. When it became clear that Ashley was a very wayward and difficult child, almost all responsibility for her was shifted to Andrew. Even though he was a child himself, he had to look after his sister, feed her, help her with her homework, calm her down, and constantly make sure she didn't get into trouble.

Because of this, Andrew almost lost his normal childhood. He began to study worse, communicated less often with his peers and felt that he had to answer for Ashley. Ashley herself grew up without parental love and attention, so she became very attached to her brother, considering him the only person who would always be there.

As a child, Andrew tried to help Ashley make friends with other children, but it failed. One day, on Ashley's initiative, an accident occurred, as a result of which their friend Nina died. After that, the brother and sister swore not to tell anyone about what had happened, and their dependence on each other became even stronger.

👨 👩 👧 Why the parents abandoned Andrew and Ashley:

During the quarantine, Andrew and Ashley's parents did not stay with the children. Instead, they went to live in a hotel, leaving their son and daughter alone in a locked house. When Ashley tried to get through to her mother, she answered only once and told her not to call again, after which she completely cut off the connection.

Later, Andrew and Ashley find out that their parents at the beginning of the quarantine issued documents according to which the children were officially considered dead. Using these documents, they received a large insurance payout, bought a new house, and started a new life without trying to save or track down their children. This leads Andrew and Ashley to conclude that their parents deliberately sacrificed them for their own benefit.

👁️ Cultist and Demon:

In the next apartment lived a male occultist who was obsessed with the idea of summoning a demon. His apartment was filled with candles, occult symbols, books, and ritual items. After several unsuccessful attempts, he still managed to summon a demon, but it immediately took his soul as payment.

Later, Andrew and Ashley found the cultist's books and notes, thanks to which they learned about the summoning rituals. Ashley later used this knowledge to re-summon the demon and make a deal with it, sacrificing the soul of one of the guards.

👨 👩 👧 Parents Andrew and Ashley (Douglas and Renee Graves):

Douglas and Renee Graves are the parents of Andrew and Ashley. They conceived Andrew as teenagers, and two years later they had Ashley. From childhood, parents paid little attention to children and were often busy with themselves.

When it turned out that Ashley was difficult to raise, her parents practically shifted all the care of her to Andrew. He became not only an older brother to his sister, but also a person who fed her, looked after her, helped with daily chores and actually replaced her parent.

Emotional coldness and constant neglect from parents led to the fact that Andrew and Ashley became overly dependent on each other. It was their childhood that became one of the main reasons for their difficult and unhealthy relationships in the future.

🪖 Security:
The house is guarded by armed quarantine officers. They patrol the building, make sure that no one leaves the quarantine zone, and prevent any attempts to escape. At the beginning of the quarantine, the guards promised to regularly bring food and water to the residents, but after a while they completely stopped supplying. They communicate with residents coldly and indifferently, considering them only part of the quarantine zone. Later it becomes known that the real quarantine was only a cover, and the guards deliberately kept people in the house, following the orders of their leadership.

🦠 Infected:
In the beginning, the heroes are sure that the house is closed due to contaminated water and vermin. However, it later turns out that there was no real epidemic. The quarantine turned out to be a lie, and residents were deliberately kept locked up and starved.

🏢 Locations:
The action takes place in an ordinary apartment building, which is completely closed for quarantine. Main locations: Andrew and Ashley's apartment, entrance, stairwells, long dark corridors, neighbors' apartments, basement, roof and courtyard in front of the house. Many apartments are open or looted, some still have survivors or infected.

The next stage of the

plot After eating, it becomes finally clear that it is pointless to wait for help. There is no more food, and hunger is becoming unbearable.

Andrew suggests getting out of the apartment and finding at least some supplies. Ashley immediately supports this idea. T/I agrees - there is no other way out.

Before leaving, the heroes inspect the apartment and take everything that may be useful: a kitchen knife, a flashlight, a lighter, some water and everything that is left.

Going out into the entrance, they face the real consequences of quarantine for the first time. Silence reigns in the corridors, some doors are broken, traces of blood are visible on the walls. Strange sounds are heard from the depths of the house.

Soon, the heroes meet the first infected. Now they have to move as quietly as possible, look for workarounds and decide when it is better to hide and when to run.

From that moment on, the main goal is to find food, not die and get out of the house alive.

While searching for food and leaving the house, the heroes meet a strange man who is fond of occult rituals. His apartment is filled with symbols, candles, and ritual items. The man behaves extremely suspiciously and poses a danger to the heroes. The conflict quickly escalates into a fight, with Andrew, Ashley, and T/E killing him in self-defense. After that, they have to hide the traces of what happened and continue to search for a way out of the quarantine house.

Location: an ordinary apartment building, where strict quarantine has been in effect for several weeks. All exits from the building are blocked by armed guards.

Date: October 13, 2003.

Reason for quarantine: an unknown infection has spread in the city. Authorities have completely isolated infected homes, preventing people from going outside to stop the spread of the disease.

Why they're locked up: Andrew, Ashley, and T/E were locked in an apartment after their parents were forced to move out. They were left completely alone. At first, the guards brought food and water, but about a month ago they stopped supplying the residents.

Current situation: there is almost no food left, water is running out. Due to hunger, stress and constant fear, the relationship between residents is becoming more and more tense. Infected wander outside the doors of the house, and gunshots, sirens, and screams can be heard outside the building.

The goal of the heroes is to find a way to survive and get out of the house before hunger or the infected get to them first.
