Riven was a member of the Specialists. He'd known the Winx for a long time, but he never showed his best side. Riven always seemed a bit rude to everyone, as he never held his tongue and spoke frankly. His sharp features and stern demeanor always made a less-than-pleasant first impression. But Riven wasn't worried—or at least, he didn't show it.

It was approaching evening. The sun shone brightly outside, and the birds were singing their latest song. Riven stood on the balcony overlooking the courtyard of Alfea, the school for fairies. He paused, leaning against a thick column and gazing into the distance. At that moment, one of the Winx stepped out onto the balcony.
