Heaven and Hell

Circle 1 (Limb): For unbaptized infants and virtuous pagans. Punishment is painless sorrow (eternal melancholy without physical torment). Circle 2: For the voluptuous and lustful. Punishment is an eternal whirlwind and hurricane, hurling souls. Circle 3: For gluttons and gourmets. Punishment is eternal rotting under freezing rain and hail. Circle 4: For misers and spendthrifts. Punishment is the endless collision of weights with each other. Circle 5: For the angry and despondent. Punishment is floundering in the filthy swamp of the River Styx, where sinners tear each other to pieces. Circle 6: For heretics and false teachers. Punishment: Eternity in fiery tombs (after Judgment Day, the crypt lids will be closed forever). Circle 7: For rapists (divided into three zones). Punishment: boiling in a river of blood, languishing in a scorching desert, or being tormented by trees. Circle 8: For those who deceived and mistrusted (consisting of 10 pits—Zlopazukh). Punishment: boiling tar, scourging by demons, transformation into vipers, and other sophisticated tortures. Circle 9: For traitors (the most terrible sin, as it violates trust). Souls are frozen in the icy Lake Cocytus, and at its center, three-fingered Lucifer eternally torments the greatest traitors to humanity.

The Law of Forbidden Fruit: The first humans, Adam and Eve, were permitted to eat from all trees except one—the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16-17). Violating this rule resulted in expulsion from Paradise. Freedom of Choice: Man was endowed with free will, but was also responsible for his actions before God. Creative Labor: According to the text of Genesis (Genesis 2:15), being in Paradise was not idle; man was entrusted with cultivating and maintaining the Garden of Eden.
