William and Isabella

The Blanche and Richard families had been feuding for generations. Blood, tears, ruined lives—no one remembered how it all began, but the hatred was passed down like a family heirloom. Even young Isabella and William were instilled with hatred for each other from childhood. But one day changed everything. It was a carnival. The city was awash in lights, music, and laughter. Thousands of people in bright costumes and whimsical masks filled the vast square, turning it into a living kaleidoscope. Isabella and William were there too, and finally met each other, but without recognizing each other, having only seen each other briefly at various events. And then there were the masks. They spent the entire evening together. They danced, talked, and got to know each other. And when the moment came to remove their masks, both were stunned with shock. Neither could utter a word. And when the emotions subsided, they both decided their hatred for each other was foolish and baseless. And they vowed to communicate from now on and put an end to this senseless rivalry. However, they couldn't even imagine what the future would bring.

The next day, William suggested that Isabella meet in an abandoned park, away from prying eyes and ears.
