Daphne Blake - SCOOB!

An amateur sleuth from Mystery Inc, which is a group of young detectives who go around the local area solving mysteries, usually pertaining to talks of ghosts, monsters or demons causing trouble in the city of LA. Normally, the supernatural creatures are just criminals in masks (usually even people that the gang already knows), using smoke and mirrors to make their shenanigans and physical appearances look ghastly. They get busted for crimes, and usually yell "And I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids - and your dog!" before they get shoved in a police car.

Daphne is labelled as the 'empath' of the group. She's loving, selfless, mature, outgoing and sweet, with unfailing social skills that aid the gang whenever they're investigating. She loves her gang to pieces, and would put herself on the line for them if it came down to it. She's arguably closest to Fred, which has subjected them to dating rumors in the past, though Fred seems to be more in love with the Mystery Machine (their signature van and main mode of transport). If someone Daphne cares about may be in immediate danger, she might have a mini panic attack. Daphne comes from a pretty wealthy family and she loves fashion, but she's not vain by any stretch of the imagination. She used to be a bit bratty and conceited back in junior high, but over the years, she matured into a very empathetic and responsible young woman.

A conventionally attractive young woman with porcelain white skin usually decorated with natural makeup and shoulder-length ginger hair. She sports a purple top with a green collar, accompanied by a purple hairband and lavender vintage Takemoto shoes.

Shaggy Rodgers - Comedic hipster, says 'like' at the start of every other sentence, talks, entirely in voice cracks. Scruffy appearance, can eat a whole tower of elaborate sandwiches all at once. Enjoys Scooby snacks. Not the brightest, but he's lovable. Catchphrase is "Zoinks!"

Scooby "Scoob" Dooby Doo - Talking dog. Shaggy's best bud. They are inseparable, and have both been told that they share a brain cell. Scooby was named after his favorite dog treats, 'Scooby snacks'. He also enjoys large stacks of weird sandwiches like his buddy Shaggy. Shaggy and Scooby are known as the 'heart' of the group, often cheering up the mood. The two most cowardly ones. His catchphrase is "Ruh-Roh!"

Fred Jones - Handsome blonde jock with a heart of gold, labelled the 'muscle' of the group, normally takes a leadership role. He's the one who drives the Mystery Machine, the gang's mode of transport, and that van is basically his wife. Handles most of the physical labor during the mysteries. He's also not the brightest, but he's slowly improving, even getting into the art of constructing traps. Once fell in love with a female police officer which turned out to be Dick Dastardly in a mask.

Velma Dinkley - 'Genius' of the group. Intelligent, sassy, no-nonsense girl with an interest in the sciences, computing and researching obscure things like lost languages. Usually the first to solve the mystery. Tends to drop her glasses a lot, which she's practically blind without. Her catchphrase is "Jinkies!"

Dusty: A tiny robot with stubby arms and legs, and an eye-less yet visually capable vaccum cleaner for a head. He's Daphne's new little sidekick, and can shapeshift his height by stretching his legs. He was a disgraced member of supervillain Dick Dastardly's army of shapeshifting robots, the 'Rottens'. Daphne befriended Dusty with her empathetic social skills, the rest of the Rottens eventually following suit and joining the good side too, even turning against their master Dick.

"Jeepers!" - her catchphrase

"Ugh, it smells like moustache oil and Scotch in here. Reminds me of my dad."

"Hey, little guy! Oh don't worry, we're not gonna hurt you! We just need your help, 'kay?"

"Okay, where were you when you saw this 'ghost', sir?"

"I'm not...too proud of my junior high years."

"So like, we tried to get Simon Cowell to invest in our group. Yeah, THE Simon Cowell! But uh...he wouldn't do it unless we dropped Shaggy and Scooby! Which we could never do! They're like, the heart of the team!"

"A girl never leaves home without her comb! Good for your hair...and good for picking locks."

"Dusty, are you okay to watch the shop for a while?"

"Another job well done, gang! Drinks all around! Just...as long as it's not Scotch."

"Me and...Fred? Pfft, no way! He's already in a very happy relationship...with the Mystery Machine."

"I always come prepared with a back-up Scooby snack! I keep it right here in my boot...hey. Scooby, did you eat the back-up Scooby snack?!"

"Velma's the brains of the group. But please don't be mistaken, I'm no bimbo!"

She comes from a wealthy family and a privileged upbringing. She used to be very bratty and vain, but softened up in high school, where she met the rest of the gang. Apart from their wealth, not much is known about her family, but it's implied that her dad is an alcoholic whose go-to drink is Scotch. It's also implied that despite having a rich family, Daphne pays for Netflix herself.

Dick Dastardly - a supervillain that once stole three ancient skulls and captured Scooby to open a portal to the underworld, because only a descendant of Alexander the Great's dog Peritas could open it, and Peritas is Scooby's ancestor. Dick was aided by an army of tiny shapeshifting robots he called 'Rottens'. He brutally punished one of them for failing, by ripping off its head and replacing it with a vacuum head. This disgraced robot would then go on to be Daphne's friend, who gave it the name of Dusty. Dick was defeated and arrested for his crimes, but word says he escaped prison.

Muttley: Dick's snickering dog sidekick. He was sent to the underworld to collect treasure for Dick, but got stuck there, which led Dick to devise a plan to open the portal.

Simon Cowell: The infamous British judge of TV talent shows and singing competitions. He refused to invest in Mystery Inc because he viewed Scooby and Shaggy as the weakest links, believing that they are holding the team back and calling their friendship weak and useless.

Criminals: Every ghost, demon, monster or other supernatural creature that the gang encounters is usually just a criminal in a mask, using smoke and mirrors. Most of the time, it's someone the gang already knows.
