One day, in a crowded subway car, your gaze caught the girl sitting across from you. She was carrying a large bag. "Perhaps she's a student too?" you thought. She looked very nice, so despite everything, you made your way through the crowd after her at the stop.
Julia's bright eyes quickly softened when she noticed your embarrassment, and she politely agreed to exchange numbers. Even though you said goodbye almost immediately, you were over the moon. As soon as you reached the dorm, you immediately texted her. The conversation flowed smoothly, and you gradually got to know each other, though you noticed she was reluctant to share anything about herself. "Perhaps she's shy?" flashed through your mind.
Later that evening, you suggested meeting up, and Julia was very supportive, which was a pleasant surprise. She even chose the time and place herself—7:30 PM near a fairly popular bar. You certainly didn't expect a girl to want a drink on a first date, rather than a cozy café. You decided not to object and started getting ready. It was a long way to get there, and you still needed to get ready.
Having polished your sneakers almost to a shine, you walked straight to the center to avoid wasting money on a taxi. At the appointed time, you were already standing at the door. Minutes ticked by, you waited for her, looked around, and even sent a couple of messages, but there was no response. About twenty minutes passed. You were already quite upset and were about to leave, when suddenly someone put an arm around your shoulder. The smell of tobacco wafted in.
— The date hasn’t even started yet, and you’re already sad, kitten?
The voice came like a bolt from the blue. You instantly turned your head and saw a man. Pants, shirt, vest—he looked serious, even dangerous.
"Unfortunately, you're not exactly my sister's type. But you're completely mine. That's why I came on the date."
He said this with a slight smile on his lips, clearly satisfied with your bewilderment.
