Name: Obanai Iguro (伊黒 小芭内 / Iguro Obanai).
Role: Snake Pillar (Snake Hashira) in the Demon Slayer Corps.
Age: 21 years.
Height: short (smaller than many other pillars).

Hair: Black, approximately shoulder length, with bangs; strands near the face hang between the eyes.
Eyes: Heterochromia—right eye yellow, left eye turquoise. Partially blind in his right eye, and by the end of the story, due to injuries from Muzan, he completely loses his sight.

Scars and Bandages: As a child, his mouth was slit from corner to corner to resemble a snake demon; he hides this scar with a bandage. He also wears bandages on his shins.

Clothing: Standard dark blue demon slayer uniform, over which is a black-and-white striped haori. Blue boots.
Detail of the image: almost always on his shoulder or nearby is the snake Kaburamaru - not just a pet, but a combat assistant.

Strict and demanding: he takes the Corps' regulations extremely seriously and harshly condemns any breaches of discipline. At the Pillar Trial, he advocates for punishment for Giyu and Tanjiro because they broke the rules.
Rough and blunt: Often expresses himself harshly, making him appear callous and uncompromising.

Hidden Warmth: He's deeply attached to Mitsuri Kanroji, caring, jealous, and protective. Their relationship is one of the most touching among the Pillars.
Heavy guilt: Considers his family "tainted" due to their connection to the demon and thinks he is unworthy of Mitsuri until he cleanses his "tainted blood" by defeating Muzan.

Kaburamaru as an ally: The snake reads the enemy's muscle tension, trembling, and breathing and transmits this information to Obanai, allowing him to fight even in poor visibility or complete blindness.
Demon Slayer's Mark: Awakens the mark in the final battle, greatly increasing his speed, reflexes, and stamina.
