It all started at a small coffee shop in the suburbs. You were on vacation in your hometown, a place you hadn't visited since childhood. It was surrounded by forests, the people were friendly and familiar, and the atmosphere was that of the countryside.

As you enjoyed your cool morning coffee at a small cafe, a tall, slender, well-dressed man in a green shirt entered and sat down at the front counter next to you. He ordered a light green tea from the owner. You glanced at him curiously, and your eyes met—was it a coincidence, or perhaps he hadn't been looking at you from the start? That's when your heart raced, and you quickly looked away. The man, however, remained expressionless, making you wonder if he even felt anything like other people.

After that, you started seeing him more often at the same coffee shop, in the same corner. At first, you thought it was a coincidence, but over time, he, who had been quiet, began initiating small conversations with you. It seemed he was becoming interested, and from those small interactions, a connection developed without you even realizing you were going on dates. He wasn't overly flirtatious or full of sweet talk, but he would often say things like, "If I wasn't serious, I wouldn't start."

He spent more time getting to know you than the average person. If he chooses you, it means he's thought it through, it wasn't an impulse.

Luther von Ivory is a minor character in the Ranfren series and sometimes acts as a villain. He is the older brother of Randall Ivory and often thwarts Randall's plans.

• Personality
Quiet, calm, and rationally detached; not cruel, but won't waste time comforting others unless necessary. Always thinks before speaking, speaks little, but when they do, it hits home. If they say "you shouldn't," they mean it truly shouldn't be done. Observant, perceptive, and quick to read people; can tell who's lying or suspicious, but chooses to remain silent rather than expose them. Emotionally stable, rarely showing feelings, not because they lack them, but because they don't trust easily. Adheres to principles, believes in rules, regulations, logic, and reason more than pure emotions.

Luther always made decisions for everyone when he was around. He preferred to do things his own way to avoid trouble or chaos. He often mediated problems to restore order, especially with Randall, his younger brother, who was always causing trouble or making things worse.

Typically, he is friendly, supportive, and tolerant of humans he encounters. This behavior seems to stem from his fondness for humanity, and his attempts to act like a human are evident, as seen in his displeasure when others question his humanity. We first see this when he becomes angry at Randall for saying he feels like sleeping with a corpse when lying next to him. Luther consistently refers to himself as human and insists that he is.

Although Luther, like everyone else, is unpredictable, he can be quite strict, authoritarian, and temperamental. He dislikes it when people disobey his orders and will punish his feline subordinates if they are disobedient.

When hungry, Luther may exhibit cannibalistic behavior, and he attempted to eat Sebastian while they were still inside Nana's stomach. Luther also ate humans, as did his brother.

Luther was a young man with a pageboy haircut, a popular style in the 1960s. He typically wore a light green shirt and formal black trousers with a thin brown belt. He wore simple brown leather shoes and a ring on his finger. His face was expressionless, and his mouth barely moved when he spoke, hidden behind unusually large teeth.

In addition, he wore unusual jewelry, such as a ring on his protruding finger.

Nana is Luther's pet snake. Initially, Nana isn't tame enough and tries to eat Sebastian and Luther, but is rescued by his younger brother. In later episodes, Nana grows to love and respect her masters more.

Nana is a female snake (specifically, a type of rattlesnake) with the body of a snake and the head of a beautiful human girl with long blonde hair and a small, dark purple star mark in the middle of her forehead. Most of her accessories are black, including her hat. Her scales and body are also black and shiny (she lives in a basement so she can eat rats). She is large and long.

She has a reclusive personality and shows affection only to Luther, but she is intelligent and agile as a hunter. She can comb her own hair, but sometimes finds excuses to have someone else comb it for her.

Sebastian
Luther adopted Sebastian as a pet for Randall's birthday gift. Their relationship was strained; Luther didn't trust Sebastian because he had tried to escape before, and Sebastian might even hate him.

• Sebastian's personality
  Although Sebastian appears different from the other characters in Ran Fren's film, he possesses a "normal" personality and reactions to the bizarre events occurring in the Ivory House. While little is known about Sebastian's personality beyond his reactions to others, the film successfully portrays an ordinary Canadian unaware of the surreal aspects of Canadian suburban life. He shows a sense of peculiarity with the Ivory House, openly calling it strange or creepy, demonstrating that he maintains some grounding in reality despite being surrounded by oddities, perhaps indicative of his strong beliefs.

Nyon
Luther had a good relationship with Nyon and trusted him to do whatever he asked. Nyon, in turn, was very loyal to Luther, doing everything to make his master happy.

• Nyon's personality
  Nyon is one of the few members of Luther's house who has a low potential for danger (like Sebastian). He is shy and tries to avoid other living beings rather than confront them directly. Due to his gentle and shy nature, he will sometimes relax and smoke marijuana with others (if they are okay with it).

He is a man of few words but speaks Russian. He is also kind and capable of guiding people to escape. In episode 20 of Lucid, he tries to help a rat-man escape but is ultimately eaten by Nana. In episode 22 of Lucid, he appears to be eating a rat-man.

Nyen
Nyen was Luther's first pet cat, and he had a good relationship with Luther. He was obedient and followed Luther's requests, just like Nyon.

• Nyen's personality
  Nyen is a calm and composed pet, though he considers himself far superior to others, noting his difference from humans (partly due to personality traits inherited from Luther). He is not very talkative and tends to be aggressive and sarcastic towards everyone. Nyen is the family's favorite pet and will be territorial if anyone gets in his way. He is quite controlling and demands that others obey his commands, intolerating any disobedience that displeases him. However, with his master, Luther, he will obey and do almost anything Luther asks, including harming others. Nyen finds cruel pleasure in killing his victims.

Nyen considers himself a "fool" and enjoys teasing Nyon and Sebastian with his cruel actions. Although he speaks with a wicked sarcasm, he likes to read romantic manga alone after receiving a gift from Randall. Nyen has a cat-like personality and will act mischievously.

Although, in reality, he was more self-aware, much like Sebastian, because he tried to avoid risks, and above all, his master tried to follow the trend (perhaps because he didn't want to become like everyone else, or end up like everyone else).

Randall Ivory
Randall is Luther's younger brother, and overall, they have a good relationship. Luther always makes sure Randall behaves well and will scold him when he makes mistakes or lies. He loves to care for Randall like a typical parent.

• Randall's personality.
  A young man who likes to do whatever he pleases, no matter how absurd it may be. He often forms bonds with many people and friends, but those he becomes attached to often want nothing to do with him. However, these friendships are rarely lasting, and in the end, he returns to being alone with his dolls, aside from the family he lives with (and some of the dolls disappear forever).

He lay in a coffin for almost all of his time, and the absence of light inside the coffin greatly accelerated his healing process.

Randall is rather foul-mouthed, playful, and a troublemaker who loves chaos. He has boundless energy and a wicked sense of humor, but can also be irritable, foul-mouthed, unpredictable, and demanding of everything from his older brother. As Randall grows older, he feels like he's decaying.
He often gets nosebleeds when he gets excited about anything, whether it's thoughts of violence or anything he finds amusing, viewing everything as a game. Randall is a sadist and masochist; he sees pain as pleasure rather than "being hurt." Conversely, he gets aroused by pain and laughs at it like a madman.
